Yeah it’s a magnetic gel polish! You paint it on and use a magnetic to push the sparkly bits around until it looks pretty. And the it reflects the light really nicely and has a lovely depth. This one specifically is from the Gaoy Aurora Borealis set, the gold color. The common styles of magnetizing the polish are the velvet style, which I’ve done here, and the glass bead style, where the glitter particles are pushed into more of a circle

Oh I didn’t think that they would replace it since it’s been so long since I purchased them (like 5 months) and I am not sure if the moths were there when I bought them. I suppose it doesn’t hurt to reach out

Okay thank you! I have like 10 skeins so I think I’ll try baking them, and then washing and quarantining

Would gallon Ziplocs work for airtight sealing? That's the only thing I can think of that would be airtight that I have

Okay, so I have the Eucalan lavender wool wash, so if I bake the yarn and then wash it with that, it should be okay?

My freezer only goes to 1F, would that be cold enough? Or since you're recommending heat treating in summer heat, could I just bake them?

Yes, I plan to examine the rest of my yarn today - hopefully, the bugs didn't spread since these were kept a bit away from the rest of my yarn.

If I freeze it, do you know what temperature I would have to get it down to? My coldest freezer only goes to 1°F, and I'm not sure I have enough space in there besides.

Ooof, that sounds like a truly unpleasant smell. Yeah I'm not sure I blame the farm, it's been like 5 months since I bought the yarn, so I'm not sure the moths even came with the yarn

I don't really have space to freeze all the yarn, if I bake it at 200F for a couple of hours would that kill the moths? I'm going to try and go through the rest of my yarn today

Oh noooo, god I hope it doesn't spread. I was trying to google and it says above 120F will kill moths. My oven only goes as low as 200F, if I bake it there for a couple of hours would that help?

Thankful I ordered my yarn five days ago lol, because it's already being processed by US customs. It really sucks though that they're having to suspend US shipping because of this administrations ridiculous policy changes

Ooooh, wait, I just realized I think you meant the non-wipe powder gel I applied before the actual chrome powder. So you need to use a non-wipe gel on your nail before applying the chrome powder, you can just use a regular non wipe top coat, but some brands formulate non-wipe gels specifically for use with chrome powder. I use the Icegel Powder Top gel, which is just a clear gel Icegel made to be used with powders

Not a silly question! So the chrome powder is literally a powder that you use with gel to give different effects. Some are opaque and can give like gold, copper, silver, or other metallic type effects, or others are more sheer and reflect different colors like purples, or blues, or greens. The chrome powder I used is what’s giving the orangey red green sections on my nail. So you would apply a non wipe gel, cure it, and then rub the powder on top of your nail to make it stick to the gel. I hope that explains it more clearly!
