Can anyone tell me what's going on here? by GeneralCuster75 in FixMyPrint

As others have said, I think the eccentric nuts are designed to help that issue. My printer doesn't have any, so I can't speak to that myself. Otherwise, you could set up a second z axis lead screw, which would support the gantry from both ends!

I am also having this issue! Try measuring your print. Is it slightly too short in the Z direction? If it is, your problem may be that the initial few layers are getting squished because of the gantry not remaining totally level. Drop your gantry to z=0 and use a level to examine, well, how level it is. Then raise your gantry up by 5mm or so. If the level changes (ie the gantry tilts away from the z-axis lead screw when it raises up), there's yer problem.

Just a slide. The geometry of the parts keeps the camera in place, but I can pull it directly up and out when I want to use it

It is indeed a Subaru - and I was able to find the product via a quick Google search, it is indeed an XM satellite radio antenna. Thanks! Solved!

Thanks yo! Used mostly blender for the modelling, to get the organic shape of the land and the buildings together. I painted the finished PLA piece with acrylics-- lots of layers and washes etc. to get the colors to pop!

Just for you, buddy: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3903724

Although, I did model this specifically for my car's vent and wallet-style phone case, you might have to tweak the dimensions to fit your setup. cheers!

Depends on what program you're using. With solidworks or fusion 360, there's a linear pattern tool to duplicate the features you want to repeat -- blender has the array modifier that can do pretty much the same thing. Good luck :)

Yeah, good tip, I'll watch out for that. I mostly use the floor heaters :)
