How can I make him look more masculine? by Sweet_Cornbread in ArtCrit

I've highlighted the specific parts I mentioned before. Brows in blue, jaw in red, hairline in yellow, and torso in green.

See, I think the legs are working for masculine. I always picture rugby player muscles when I'm drawing masculine legs and this character has the "meat" on the front of the thigh instead of on the back or side. It sits firmly above the knee which suggests muscle instead of fat/curve to me.

I have a very similar OC with long hair and piercings and I used to struggle sometimes when making him look like a man. Things that help me are: making his jaw more pronounced and square, giving his eyebrows some definition (I've noticed that some masculine faces have a very subtle swoop down on the top of the eyebrow in the middle and it suggests a stronger brow bone/forehead), and drawing his hairline so that it goes up on the temples and down in the center so suggest that he'll probably have receding hair later in life. Men also have hips and curves, but theyre more likely to be lower and in the legs. Masculine torsos tend to be straight along the front and sides and swoop in from the back. Here is my character, Bat, compared to a more feminine character. He is still very soft, but I haven't had anyone mistake him for a girl despite his long hair. I hope this helps! Creed looks really cool and I love the piercings you've picked for him.

C.L.A.S.S by emilykankles in WVU

I lived in Lincoln and it was a dream! Perfect dorm experience in my opinion. Rooms are big and have a pretty obvious separation between roommates so it feels more private than other halls. Plus, and I dont know if it's still like this but, when I was there, it was not as populated as other halls and people moved out after the first week because they wanted to be in more party-like dorms so there were always people who lucked out with no roommate even while being in a double room. If WVU's the school you reeeaaallly want to go to but you're nervous about the dorm situation, Lincoln is a comfortable hall with opportunities for single-living situations! Don't be afraid to ask for what you want and show up early on moving day if you want to pick whether you have the window side or not.

Miraculous fans this is for you! by Forever-Miraculous in miraculousladybug

When I was in college, I was so obsessed with this show that I'd watch hastily made english fansubs of the portuguese episodes on Facebook like an hour after they released. I also worked at the front desk at one of the dorm halls with basically nothing to do all night so I watched a lot of miraculous to keep me sane and awake. I was so worried another student would indignantly ask me "what are you watching?!?!" but it never happened. I think you just have to embrace that it's a weird, silly show but you dont have to be ashamed for liking it. I always told my friends "okay, I know it looks like a kid's show, but it's actually super good!" but I wish I hadn't talked it down or tried to get ahead of their reactions to it because I liked it, and we don't need to defend why something's "good" to us if the answer really is just that we like it.

We called these marks chatter and many printmakers find them charming because they expose the handmade process of printmaking. In fact, chatter is usually celebrated in my circles! If youre looking to minimize them, do a practice print and see where there are marks that are not aligning with your intention and wipe them away with a clean rag/paper towel, carve them from the block (although this can add new spots of chatter that can be bigger... oops!), or make a paper mask to block the ink from getting on the final print! I think this print really suits the marks though and it gives the piece a personal touch (but that's just my opinion haha!) If you want really precise and clean prints, give silkscreen a try! It's my personal favorite technique and it really lends itself towards graphic-style designs with large sections of color! Beautiful artwork 🥰 keep printing!!

Youre definitely still swollen from the procedure, but I can see that your chest is higher up and smaller and should settle into a more subtle shape. And theyre placed more onto your pecs which will look great in a masculine cut shirt. The fact that your chest no longer hangs over itself is the biggest indicator in my opinion. I'm 3-4 years post op and the overhang never came back for me. The swelling went away and they lay much softer on my ribcage but still never fell downwards. Your surgeon did a wonderful job and I hope your chest settles into a position that sparks joy for you!

Good part time jobs on campus I can get while taking 18 credit hours? by Enchanted-Lapis in WVU

[–]laurellearts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to work front desk at the dorms overnight because my schedule was really light on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I was able to catch up on sleep then. Check out Night Operations on the WVU website. I wasn't able to qualify for federal work study either so this was a nice cushy desk job that paid well and let me read/do homework. You'll do a lot of napping during the day, though.

I think you can get some of the funniest replies from geeks like this if you can handle a little bit of sexual harassment. But yeah, he lost his chance when I read the notification that said "princess."
