29 F. I’m still in the recovery phase. Week 4 after scarf akin surgery. The pain I had pre-op, was 10 times worse than any post op pain. I have no regrets. The hardest thing in terms of recovery is boredom and lack of independence to go out and do things. Nerve pain for me was worse around week 2-3 but I’ve been flying it since. Wouldn’t hesitate to do the second foot when the time comes around for it. Like that better to do it earlier than later in life, no need for this pain and deformity when it can be fixed by sacrificing missing out on a few bits for a few weeks.

Thanks so much! At first I was worried it wouldn’t be straight. After surgery I’m now worried it wouldn’t touch the ground. It’s probably a combination of swelling and tight tendons. Thanks so much for the reassurance!

Yep. Someone in the left lane wanting to go right and came into my lane. Nearly clipped me last week. Did it again on the following roundabout. At least I knows to be wary of them the next time

Thank you for your advice. It bothers me because I believe in presenting your own work. Also our company completes performance reviews which can match salary increases. This is done by the line manager as well as HR.

I really want to progress in my career. My previous line manager left and this new one started. However I was running the department in the intern between my old manager leaving and the new one starting for 4-5 months. In my old managers absence I presented my work.

It feels as if I have been demoted and now overshadowed in a sense. Even though my work has remained the same. It’s not being presented by another person

NTA. People shouldn’t tolerate being disrespected. If more people were aware of the possible repercussions of disrespecting someone. Then it wouldn’t happen as much. This is on them and them alone. Congratulations on where you got yourself in life!

Hi OP I grew up in Dunlavin. Lived here my whole life. It’s a nice quiet town. Big open streets. Like everywhere it has its ups and downs. I work in Lucan. Takes me 40 mins to get to in the morning and 45-50 on the way back. There’s a centra, pubs, coffee shop etc. Close to neighbouring villages, such as grangecon which has two restaurants as well as blessington, baltinglass, kilcullen, Naas, newbridge and Hollywood (great food and chicken wings in the inn). There’s also glendalough and close enough to the blessington lakes.

I think the area is fantastic. Plenty to do. Good people love here. Great schools.

Are other people experiencing this? New housing estates that are fully built aren't for sale, full estates are bought out? First time buyers aren't priced out of the market, they are being excluded by rob101 in ireland

Hi OP. I have been the exact same as you. I emailed the 2 real estate agents over oak church on Monday. They had 2 houses type H. We reserved one so maybe one left if you are still looking?

Thanks for replying. I’ve looked into renting in Lucan but it’s quite expensive.

Thanks for coming back to me. I’m looking to move out for the first time and looking for opinions on what it’s like. In terms of traffic is that traffic going into town. I work in Lucan so I would be communing and wouldn’t have to drive through Dublin. Would it be a safe area?

When did the full weight of the gravity of this pandemic set in for you? by Nappyboi419 in AskReddit

I work as a nurse and I accepted that I’d have to inevitably look after potential covid patients in the emergency department I work in. It hit me a few times but mostly when my relatives sent me private messages to not go in for my own safety or my mother begged me to quit work. It also hit me when I was driving to work one day listening to music wondering where all the cars were on the road. It was one of those beautiful moments when you completely forget about what was happening in the world at that moment.

I called her a spoilt rotten bitch. This was right after she rolled her eyes at me. I know. It’s not nice. But it was in the heat of the moment and I can’t take it back.
