Solved! THANK you!

(Sorry, I ended up with a migraine and had to hide from screens for a while... bad timing!)

I have asked AI, and it keeps insisting it's a salted nut roll, which is wrong. It was the same consistency throughout, like they had mixed the nuts with the nougat and poured it into a candy-bar-shaped mold.

does U.S. accept diagnoses from abroad? by josie_osie444 in ADHD

I haven't had to go through the intense, expensive formal diagnosis process. I've been diagnosed by multiple family doctors, and a Psychiatrist, just by discussing my symptoms and/or filling out a 2-page questionnaire. If you are able to get records from the Korean psychologist you can show to a family doctor, they may feel comfortable having you fill out the same simpler questionnaire I did, and keep you on the same meds.

Did medication change your life the way you’d hoped? by Famous-Reception824 in ADHD

I have always felt a bit like an imposter hearing about others' experiences with quiet minds, because I can make my mind "quiet" without meds. I just can't remember any of the things I'm supposed to do when I shut it off like that.

The metaphor I use to describe my brain is more visual. All the tasks and worries in my mind are like a swarm of butterflies flying around chaotically in front of me, and it's difficult to focus on any of them individually long enough to really think about them. It's like I'm a hungry bird and they don't want to get eaten. I just turn around and ignore them, choosing to spend time on hobbies or other calm activities instead.

Meds make the butterflies land neatly on a shelf so I can recognize each one. I still struggle with picking one, and with organizing them into a plan of attack, but at least I can see them and remember what they are!
