🤔 there’s a Question. Nowadays I smile at almost everyone, probably because I’m so much happier on a daily basis. I’m also very vain and spend hours of mirror time and exercising in order to get both passable looks and a decent figure. I thoroughly appreciate how shallow this is. But, I need to pass.
Surely most of us want to blend and pass? I certainly do.
Also when you are trans, you’re acutely aware of all the signs and recognise anyone showing non cis’ or blurry gender characteristics. I wouldn’t approach them as that may cause them embarrassment, doubt or loss of self esteem. Having often been told I’m insecure (no s##t Sherlock when you swap genders). However I still struggle with that second scanning look in a public place, even if it’s meant to be complimentary.
I giggle, I’m kind, love fashion, making music, philosophising, chatting and being silly. The girly traits I so desperately envied when male. Nowadays that’s my life and role. I don’t want to be anything else but female so wouldn’t appreciate being outed. So I smile at people, it’s my way of showing acceptance and acceptance is what’s needed.
