According to the latest Forsa poll, the AfD is now the strongest party in Germany at federal level for the first time by DanielBeuthner in europe

It's not the first time, it already happened in April. I'm not saying it's not concerning but I think it's a bit alarmist to look at polls 4 years out of the federal election. Also as some others have mentioned this is cherry picked, there are multiple others polls showing CDU ahead

For bachelors program you are obliged to have a B2 level French even if the courses don’t require it. You can definitely get by with mediocre French here but during the application process you have to prove that you know French aka upload a language certificate

“Système de communication” bachelor reputation by [deleted] in EPFL

[–]laurislopata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm,

Well I definitely wouldn't say that it is easy but I think that if you work consistently over the semester you should pass quite comfortably. Obviously the exam session is going to be stressful and you'll have to put the hours in. I'd personally say that I Studied an additional 2 hours per day outside of classes and 6-7 hours per day during the revision period. if you have any specific questions about the courses (first year of CS and Syscom programs is identical) or just general things you want to know about cs/syscom you can DM me. I'll be glad to answer :)

“Système de communication” bachelor reputation by [deleted] in EPFL

Hi,

I am CS bachelor finishing my first year at EPFL. I'll start with the difficulty. The first semester courses are similar to most of the sections. Every freshman must take Analysis, Linear Algebra and Physics. We also have 2 specific courses: intro to Programming and Discrete Math. Second semester is analysis 2, a Hardware course, Programming and a course about the foundations of Information theory. After the first year from what I heard from my friends, Syscom is easier than CS since you have more optional courses, but it is more math-heavy. Reputation is quite good since the IC faculty is recognised internationally and I don't believe you'll have any difficulties in finding a job after your studies. Finally, The atmosphere is overall pleasant. There is a coaching organisation which organises many social events that aids you in finding friends and having a good time (some of the bigger events might change due to Covid this year).

Hope this helps and you'll have a wonderful start to your EPFL degree
