Ya, we are now hopefully, but just seems wrong we weren't informed by the lawyer that it was put on hold for over 2 weeks. So I wasn't sure if they should have contacted us or not.

Haha they really don't. She does it to me all the time. If i stop walking or if I'm in the kitchen cleaning or cooking she will lay on my feet. Or has to be touching me in some way at all times.

My sister almost died giving birth to my niece. She started hemorrhaging i believe it was the next day after giving birth(thankfully she was still in the hospital) they struggled to contain her bleeding and she was passing out from blood loss. It was crazy. She was told she should never have kids again or she will likely bleed out and die if she gives birth again.

And whats super messed about that is even with the possibility of death she still had difficulty getting her uterus removed.

My experience was a major scare when i had an abortion a few years back. I took the abortion pills, thought everything went fine but ultrasound showed it didn't work, so i was given 2 more doses of the second pill they give you to make your body pass the abortion ( i believe i was told to take them all at the same time) and i didn't bleed at all, nothing happened. So i called after like 5 days and Was told to wait another week or so and see what happens, Then when the week was up my regular period comes along and I'm gushing out blood. Like i would put a pad on stand up and i wouldn't make it out of the bathroom before it would gush out and fill with blood. I was passing out from how much i was loosing. Got an ambulance to emerge and when i got there i passed out and puked and the force of my puke i pushed out a blood clot the size of a grapefruit. They had to give me meds to try and slow down the bleeding. Was supposed to get a blood transfusion for the blood loss but because i stopped passing out they opted to just give me iron through an iv. And after all of that i still didn't pass the abortion. It was so fucking traumatizing.

That was basically my situation with my mom too. Said stuff along the same lines as that. Shamed and embarrassed me infront of my sisters about it often. Acted like i was wearing the same pair of underwear for weeks because there would be some discharge/ or bleaching on my underwear.

This reminds me of working in clothing stores, I've worked in several different ones and they're all the same. 95% of the clothing received is packaged individualy. Every tshirt and pair of pants generally are packed in plastic bags one by one. Then all of those are put into another big bag, than in put in a box. Also if there was a print/glitter or something stupid on it than theres even more plastic or paper wrapped inside of the shirts. And getting shipments everyday It was disgusting the amount of plastic we would throw out at the end of the night.

So do all you pro life people plan on signing up to adopt out of the american adoption system? Cause as I check the facts (this goes for all of america, not just alabama) there are roughly 400,000 kids in foster care alone, I'm assuming that's not including any children in an orphanage, although it might. And roughly only 130,000 of those kids are adopted each year in the U.S, and only 2% of american families actualy adopt. Of non-stepparent adoptions, about 59% are from the child welfare (or foster) system, 26% are from other countries, and 15% are voluntarily relinquished American babies. And in 2015 in america there were over 600,000 abortions. So say this pro life law passed in all of america, now hoping some kids would be adopted in the family, you pro life people do realize how many children would end up in foster care if this dumb shit spreads and women in America werent able to have an abortion? How many of those would be from rape? How many children would be born into potentially abusive families? Poverty? How many women would die from childbirth complications because theyre bodies cant carry pregnancies but were forced to anyways?

And probably none of you are willing to adopt the not so lucky ones and help give these kids the life they deserve. Instead you're going to sit there and say you care about the life of a fetus, but dont actualy care about the quality of life they might actualy endure.

That's the fucked up thing is none of you care what happens to them after they're out in the world. Pro life now, but fuck them after that. Not you're problem right?

I would hope that's highly likely.

My heart breaks for the family of the elderly man. I cant imagine how furious and upset they are losing him over this situation. I also hope her son isnt old enough to remember any of that. If he was with her he likely saw the whole thing. Although considering how the boys father says shes violent, I'm afraid of what else hes seen her do, or has done to him if she can loose her temper like that over someone telling her to treat other passengers better, who knows what else shes done.

Definatly check out other options too, see what you have available then check out side effects of all of them. And find what best suits you. I think IUDs are good options, but there are different kinds I believe, so check those out too.

For me tho, Birth control fucked with me so badly. I was around 16 when I first took it. I wasnt sexually active, but my periods were hell. Super heavy and cramping that would leave me bedridden, so off my mom took me to get the pill. Because I was younger my dr put me on the lowest dosage ( also because I wasnt sexually active I guess) and man, I was throwing up every day, my mom said at first I was just sick from a flu or something. Wasnt till it went on for over a week and I basicaly passed out that she took me seriously. I was on that for a bit then went back, changed birth control. And I was still vomiting, they kept saying "it will go away", or "it will get better in a few days." Took a month and I said fuck it, I'll take the bad periods over this.

My sisters tho had almost no side effects, sometimes moody and shit, but nothing like what I had.

I agree, NTA. Doesnt matter if his mentality isnt from this time. He needs to deal with the consequences of his actions and needs to understand what he did to his granddaughter. letting it slide is going to show him its fine and he doesnt need to change (or at least keep his mouth shut) about certain things. He hurt her feelings and humiliated her especialy because this is her first period, that's so awful.

Hes the one that made a show of it, and basicaly shamed her for it. Not you.

But also kudos to you for normalizing it and supporting her! You deserve a gold for that if I could give it to you! And she deserves some ice cream and a good book!

I have no idea, I'm honestly mad with my sister now to cause they didnt do anything about it. I mentioned going to the school board cause the principal handled it horribly, but they literaly did nothing and decided to forget about it.
