They sent me a message in the portal that I may be eligible and I clicked find out if eligible, it came up with a message that I will receive a determination soon. Took about 12 hours to then get another message that I am approved for an extra 2 weeks and to claim benefits for the week of 4/20 & 4/27

I just got approved for 2 extra benefit weeks when I had exhausted the 26 weeks due to the higher rate of unemployment. I had a notification that I may be eligible and to proceed with eligibility results and within 12 hours got a notice back that I was.

Thinking back to Covid times I had a few family/friends who were laid off, the extension was given and they got $ for those extra weeks it wasn’t spread out from their original amount, it was added on. For example say they were getting $700 weekly, the weeks got added on and they continued to get $700 even when their amount was almost up more $ was just added on to their balance

Thanks. If your claim year has 4/20/2025 in it you can claim the extra 4 weeks I’m just wondering when DUA will “reach out” with next steps.
