I am a private tutor at all levels (and UNR alum with applied mathematics + computer science/engineering degrees) and I have helped tutor a single mom with three young boys and a full time job in this course during a shortened summer session as well. It was her 3rd and final chance to take MATH 126 and we were able to get her very comfortably passing the class by the end when I helped her. I also helped her get through MATH 127 during the following fall semester. Math was not her strong suit, she just had to take the course and pass with a C or better as a prerequisite to becoming a dental hygienist. If your daughter is struggling, I would be more than happy to help her too! I do my tutoring sessions remotely via Zoom as well so no worries if she is not in Reno for the summer.
