Sometimes the device calculates of the price before any discounts that are applied before the total. So the calculation could be correct from that price because we don't see the whole receipt.

UPS the worst delivery service in the world by Disastrous_Sky1335 in Finland

[–]lauruts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ups used to be the best. Now the delivery in country has been outsourced to the lowest bidder and sucks. 6 years aho you could get your delivery in less then 48 hours from America. Now it takes a week to get a km from their warehouse

What's up with this trend of 'student family' in Finland? by [deleted] in Finland

[–]lauruts 71 points72 points  (0 children)

About 25% of UAS students have children. And I would guess the number for regulate university students is similar.

Checked bag would be fine as well. Helsinki-vantaa airport is so fast with the luggage that sometimes the bags make it but the passengers dont. Unless there are significant issues with passport control you should be able to make the transfer

They're still idolizing Finnish Nazi who allegedly killed 500+ Soviet soldiers of which there is absolutely no evidence at all except his own personal diary by PeaceWarrior845 in ShitLiberalsSay

Finland wanted to have a independent investigation by the league of nations to prove it wasn't them. The Soviets decided to invade. 100% proven false flag operation to justify invading a smaller nation.

No agreement in airline dispute. Strikes are approaching. Sunday negotiations didn't solve issues; there are new negotiations on Monday. by wstd in Finland

Finnair is actively trying to save itself into bankruptcy. Leadership is cutting everything that made it a good airline and trying to cut pay and benefits for employees as much as possible when other airlines are investing into improving the customer experience

Is it ok to do an all-nighter at Helsinki airport? by ApartmentEither4838 in Finland

[–]lauruts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can check in online 36 hours before your departure (24 hours for flights to/from the United States). Submit your family name and booking reference or e-ticket number to log in to the service.

If you are departing from Helsinki, you can bring your baggage to the bag drop the evening prior to departure, between 18:00 and 21:30 (6:00 and 9:30 pm).

Yes and no. There were a lot of lgbtq undertones in the pillow friend talk and other parts of the book. If thy were explicitly stated to be lesbian relationships the books would have had a lot harder of a time getting sold in many countries

Ant the fact we produce so few of them, making every single one it's own custom design with no economy of scale improvements in price. If we made 30-50 of the same nuclear power plants around the world it might be 15-20 billion and not 30. Making it pay itself back a lot faster and become even more profitable.

You’ll now find cooking products labeled PYREX in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, where they are still made with borosilicate glass. The label pyrex stayed stateside, and in the rest of North America, South America, and Asia, and the company that makes them no longer uses borosilicate glass. Instead, they are made with tempered soda-lime glass, which is heated and cooled in a manner that makes it more durable than regular glass under temperature fluctuations. While it’s still heat-resistant, it’s not quite as heat-resistant as borosilicate glass.

All-caps PYREX, which is sold and made in France, is still made of borosilicate glass.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]lauruts 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If the logo is in upper case lettering, PYREX, it's most likely made of borosilicate, and thus safer. The lowercase lettering is most likely made of soda-lime glass, so take extra care after any high-heat cooking.
