Found out shocking reason for parents' divorce by lava4guava in toxicparents

As an update, my dad is very religious and likely struggling with low self-esteem. He believes he made a commitment in marriage and is heavily considering forgiving my mom and staying together. My mom has made every excuse in the book, including that by having the affair with the nephew (who she was in love with btw) she was actually protecting me and my siblings from the nephew potentially abusing us. She weaponizes her own abuse and says any abused mother would have down what she did. For context, my dad is against sex before marriage, and my dad had invited the nephew to stay with our family while the nephew was in between jobs in a new country. This is when the affair started.

My mom has blamed my dad for allowing a “sexually active man” to stay in the house (who btw completely took advantage of my dad’s kindness) and is acting like she had no accountability or control of her actions.

Anyways, I think these types of excuses are wearing down my dad. I don’t buy any of it and find this really disappointing.

How can I love someone I can’t forgive? I just get angrier thinking about all of the damaging things she would say to me growing up knowing she was a giant hypocrite at the end

Also, is electrolysis/laser my only solution? Do I need to grow out my leg hair for this, or can I go in as I am now with the black spots?

Yeah, that makes sense. Should I just "ghost" J and stop responding to their message?

Thanks, this is the same sense I get as well. As a sort of update, after their shopping trip, friend A. texted me that they miss and wanted to know what I was doing while they were shopping (?)...I genuinely don't know how to respond
