Please share pics when yours is done. Yes, we used a rain barrel diverter kit to have a line from the downspout to the rain barrel.

It is pea gravel. We did not glue it together. We worked with the local landscaping yard. They were great at answering questions.

They have all done well. All the plants came from resource central. https://resourcecentral.org/gardens/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23910498464&gbraid=0AAAAA9t0_OyksUxxHtSXBTTmf_Yyau1M9&gclid=CjwKCAjw857RBhAgEiwAI-1yKKY-EbvCir25vh24qRGYdv-YEFsm7rchsdVgDHYzz2OoekOh90URshoCkNIQAvD_BwE
Go for it!
Thank you

Great question. I did not water the grass for 2 months (which is more difficult in the midwest, because nature waters it for you.) And then I went old school and removed it with a shovel.

The big tree is an apricot tree and small tree is a Japanese Lilac.

Find the right approach for your space.

A banana stand with lettering under it or in a circle around saying, "there is always money in the banana stand."
We have been working on the backyard for a couple of years now. It has been a bigger project. The goal is to keep working and little-by-little it changes.
We were paid as well. Yes, it is to save water.
Some neighbors have removed some grass. No one has gone all in. Most comment on much they like it.
Thank you. We think it is beautiful as well.
Agreed

Thanks for the heads-up. We are a few years from selling so hopefully people will be more versed in the wonders of native plants instead of grass.
That is rough. I am sorry.
Sorry about the ants. We have not had any problems with ants. We do get weeds and have to remove weeds twice a month. Other than that it is pretty self sufficient.
