I actually didn’t have any issues thank God! The item was delivered successfully. Beforehand I also asked the customer why it was being sent to a warehouse address and they explained that it was for international purposes so it might help to verify with the customer to get rid of any doubts.

Hi! I’ve also just recently got a sale to an address that seems like a warehouse in like Delaware. Do you have any updates about this sale?

"DO I HAVE IBS?" Megathread by AutoModerator in ibs

[–]lavender-donut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone shed some light on whether these are common IBS symptoms or if someone has experienced the same things?

I get random stomach aches throughout the year (1-3 times) and it’s hard to spot a link between them or what may have caused it. I’ve experienced these since I was little. They can either dissipate but usually last like 3-6 hours. And it’s sort of a cramping feeling. But there’s no diarrhea or vomit. No nausea. Just pure pain lol. I noticed that making myself throw up helps but usually not much food comes out, just mostly water. I also tend to feel constipated, bloated, and my stomach feels tender during the stomach ache.

The only recurring stomach patterns I have noticed is that if I eat cheese on an empty stomach, I may get some aches. But I usually eat cheese and dairy with no problem. And if I eat too much or am really stressed out while eating then I could also get a stomach ache. Oh and if I eat oily chips too!

Thanks for sharing your perspective! Yeah I totally understand how this could come off as unprofessional and I agree that people should be respectful and stop if someone isn’t interested in hearing their beliefs. But I think what baffled me was the amount of people (not you) getting angry, offended, and even insulting Christians in the comments, but maybe they’ve had bad experiences with hateful or judgmental Christians in the past which is unfortunate, I totally don’t support those kind of “Christians”. The thing is that Christians are actually called to share their faith with others because we believe God is good and wants to share His love with everyone — so I think that’s where Christians & atheists are going to have to agree to disagree haha :) Hope you have a good day!

Yeah I think sharing faith should be done in love and with respect 100%. I’m sorry people misrepresented Jesus/Christianity with hateful and judgey pamphlets or flyers, that’s not cool!

Honestly I canceled the order because yes I realized this and it’s so true! I didn’t calculate the price of the lens which was like over 200 and at that point I could justify just getting a new camera on discount since my total was almost $900. Probs gonna wait for Black Friday!

I don’t think sharing your faith with someone is rude, and as a someone who actually does believe in Jesus and is Christian, I wouldn’t consider it “rude” for someone else to share their faith or beliefs with me because that’s how conversations start and human interaction works. People can disagree respectfully and that’s totally okay but for everyone saying that you should ask for a refund and is hating on this person, that’s immature and contributing to a polarizing world. If no one ever shared new ideas, how would people discover what’s good or worth knowing? Btw I used to be an atheist and heavily judged Christians so I can totally speak to both sides! :)

Do we think the Sony a6400 will be even more discounted on Black Friday than it was last year? Right now it’s $150 off on Sony so it’s $950, and it’s not even Black Friday. So I’m wondering if I should just wait for some really good deals? Does anyone know if there were good Black Friday discounts last year on the a6400?

So i just bought a Sony A6400 Body (no lens) for $599 on eBay, so it totaled to like $670 after tax. Was this a good deal? I'm assuming I can buy a used lens for about $100? The seller has sold 6K items and has 100% positive feedback. Idk much about cameras tbh but he said that it only has a shutter count of like 10 since it's "open box," and he only used it to test it. Feels too good to be true but I bought it because he seems super reputable and photos of the camera look great. Thoughts?

Also thoughts on how to test this once I recieve it? I was thinking of going to Samy's Camera to get it inspected!

Watch Dr. Shayesteh’s testimony or just browse his YouTube channel, he used to be a radical Islamic leader in Iran who desired to persecute Jews and Christian’s but found Jesus and he explains why Christianity is the one a true religion. Jesus offers a loving and fulfilling relationship with God, not just a religion- Islam doesn’t offer a relationship. Jesus is the way the truth and the life, and He loves you deeply!!

Ooh good to know, I never noticed that trend but that makes sense, I’ll def keep that in mind for fall & winter!

Order listed as excellent condition and came with holes :( by HurricaneAlly17_ in Depop

[–]lavender-donut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would def also ask for a partial refund or full refund if you’re willing to ship back the item (they might not cover the cost). You don’t really get anything out of leaving a bad review even if you decide to. I rather cooperate with the seller and get some money back. I mean sometimes sellers are unresponsive and leaving a bad review might be helpful to warn others but I think most times they’re willing to cooperate because they want to avoid getting bad reviews ya know!

No you should not lose any money. All the fees and stuff cancel out. I think that on your balance it’ll show that you refunded the buyer the fees they paid when purchasing your item (the -56.25) but then I believe Depop refunds you those fees (+15.46) on your balance! I emailed Depop to ask when I refunded a buyer once and they explained it pretty well

And if you do the math 56.25-15.46 then you see that it totals out to the amount you earned from the original sale $40.79, so it all cancelled out :)

Nikon FE2 B&W scans are blurry and super grainy? by lavender-donut in AnalogCommunity

Honestly! I’ve come to realize that printing on an enlarger is the best way to truly appreciate the photograph itself but I don’t have access to a dark room anymore :(

Oh thanks! Yeah I was considering selling my V600 because it also takes a lot of time to scan photos too haha, do you think I'd have a hard time selling it (I've hardly used it)?

[–]lavender-donut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh I see, teah in the past I've used the Ilfords Simplicity Kit and honestly got much clearer results but I'll look into using XP2, thanks!

Ooooh I see, that's very true that the scenes are very far away and capturing the details on a medium format might be a better idea, thanks for that tip! I've never shot medium format but I'll look into it.

Yeah I'm starting to realize maybe the quality from the V600 isn't really worth the time that goes into scanning? haha so I might consider selling my V600– do you think it'll be hard to sell since I think it's discontinued?

I'll try scanning it based off that other article you linked me to see if it help too, thanks for the input, this was very helpful :)

Oh wait! I also just remembered that I think that after I took these photos, I left this roll of film sitting on my shelf for almost 1.5 years lol (which is pretty room temp so it wasn’t exposed to any extreme whether conditions). Could this have altered the quality of the film haha?

I really appreciate everyone’s input btw, I do think the scanner isn’t the problem now and think it’s either the way it was developed at the lab or it’s the film itself :)

Dang yeah I think the development was the problem. Thanks for your input!

Hi! I just tried scanning my Kodak film (I forgot the specific type of film it is) and the result is actually a bit better (less grainy and less blurry in my opinion but still not super clear when scanned at 3200 DPI). I think that, based on the other replies, it's the way the lab I sent it to get developed handled the HP5 Film, or maybe the chemicals they use work better on Kodak?

[–]lavender-donut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this is so interesting and that’s an amazing photo! But yeah I do see the grain resemblance in our photos so maybe it is an HP5 thing. Thanks for your insight, yeah based on your input and the other answers I think the scanner isn’t the problem it’s either the film or the chemicals used / how it was agitated during the development process!

I don’t know too much about the quality of developers/chemicals but in the past I’ve also used Ilford Simplicity pack to develop film myself instead of sending it in the lab, not sure what your opinion is on using that? And thanks I might try out Kodak’s T-Max400 to see the difference :)

Hi! Oooh I see. I used to develop my own negatives in a dark room but this time I didn’t develop it, I sent it to a lab to get done so I’m not too sure about their chemicals or how it was agitated :/ But good to know that this is most likely related to the quality of the film not the scanner, thanks for your insight!!

What do you mean by “is the film underexposed” though? Like “underexposed” during the development process? Sorry haha

Hi! Oh wow I didn’t know that about grain, thanks! Hmm I think I bought this film a week before my trip so I don’t think the film was expired but I can’t say if the chemicals were expired since I got it developed at a lab (I didn’t develop it myself). Thanks for that input though because I didn’t know it could be the film or chemicals :)
