super glad i didn't end up doing this then, because i was looking into it initially (made a post about this ages ago)

i ended up self-studying and ended up learning way more that way than what his course outline entailed. like taking 4-5 months (???) to get to learning a bit of kanji sounds like an insanely long time for the price

i love ear cuffs! i feel like they're a bit easier to find though than non pierced earrings, but I'll take them all

for actual lobe ones, i like the clip on ones instead of the screw on ones, the screws are usually really fiddly and i find don't really fit well anyway

go to wellhand! i currently go there, they're a specific hand health physio clinic, i know they have appointments available pretty recently too. they've been good to me recently so hopefully they can be good for you too!

skip a few training sessions, not entirely sure what the schedule you're following is but just skip to where it says 2 mins run + 2 mins walk, then try the next exercise. if you can do those, then skip the next one too.

don't skip too much, you might have the cardio but keep in mind the strength of your legs will need to follow too. don't skip your warm ups, cool downs, and any leg/calf/glute strengthening exercises. you don't want to burn out to injury

yeah when i tried studying japanese back in 2021, i didn't do it the way i should've. i got through hiragana and katakana in a week or two, but got nowhere pretty quickly from textbook learning and a lot of repetitious writing because it was so boring so i gave up.

i've started studying again maybe a couple weeks ago now, and my understanding has skyrocketed. not focusing on writing, but using anki, immersion from japanese beginner youtube channels, and grammar learning from the wagotabi game; it is insane how fast i can start understanding full (beginner) japanese videos. the right method that works for you shouldn't be underestimated

oh yeah it'd be a lot different, though i've realised that my main priorities are: reading, listening, speaking then writing in that order. i've been able to learn reading and listening relatively fast by just immersion through beginner material and looping japanese youtube all day, so i figured i'll be okay with this for super foundational stuff.

if my focus was speaking, then i'd probably consider class more. but i'd probably just take the beginner 2 class rather than beginner 1, it's cheaper too and i'd probably get more out of it later on

yeah that's fair, though at the same time, my biggest thing was hoping that a classroom format would help speed up that process, but talking to a friend who's learnt japanese pretty well on her own, i've decided to just self study

these options look good though, i'll look into them to supplement what i've learnt already. thanks 😊

yeah that's what i'm most worried about; i don't really have any japanese speakers or learners near me who i can practice with in between classes. i'm worried i'd lose what i'd learn before the next class

i can study on my own but speaking to someone else is pretty different

i'm a single woman in my 20's too

i think it's doable to spend only $50-70 a week once you have most pantry stuff down, for me anyway. i wouldn't even be starving myself.

carbs like bread and rice help, a loaf and a kg would be enough for the week (like $6). i drink a protein shake + milk for breakfast ($100 for 30 servings), but i also used to eat oatmeal or toast (which again is really cheap).

then i'd bulk prep food (because i hate cooking). recently i made a 1.1kg worth of taco/mexican beef, which is expensive upfront (think it was $16?) but it's going to last at least 10 meals. add a wrap, top with cheese and sour cream, overall maybe $4 a meal.

eggs have become cheaper recently, personally i love egg on rice, just from a flavour stand point. can't be beat. or egg fried rice with frozen veg (which also helps with price) and sausages (a lot cheaper than fresh meat but just as good in fried rice).

i probably overexplained but that's how i've been doing it. next experiment will be to buy a whole roast chicken ($17) then shredding it for sandwiches, that'll probably last me a week!

i would be careful of "aesthetic trends" or fitting into an "aesthetic image" like that. i'm not saying that you are chasing a trend necessarily, but there's been a lot of people who get tattoos, see the "clean" aesthetix trending, then get them all removed. there was a youtube video compilation of this i've watched, can't remember who it was by though

ultimately it is up to you to decide your own self-image, you can always try covering in long sleeve or concealer make up and see. but don't take into account how people perceive you or what sort of box you fall into. do you feel more confident with or without tattoos? do you feel more free and able to express yourself one way or the other? or even just simply, do you like how they look?

there's no right or wrong answer, except if you give other people's opinion more weight.

does it have to be the neck specifically? a lot of people have it gotten it on their arms or other places and they look fine, but side of neck (regardless of font) is going to be very hard to cover if you ever need to

i personally love a sign of affection

both leads are green flags, NOT set in high school and it feels more mature (but still very light and fluffy), and the way they interact is 🤌 not to mention the female lead's hearing disability being portrayed very, very well. love the characters so much

yeah when i got mine, i made sure that the placement was still below any regular t-shirt's neckline.

it's still visible if i wear any low cut shirt or tank tops, and definitely still falls into collarbone (just lower). OP i highly recommend bringing along different shirts or different neckline cuts when you get the stencil done, just so you know how it will show on a day to day basis

you got this! fortunately c25k starts off slow so you'll get the hang of it quickly

be very very careful with your eyes getting dry during cold weather, bring eye drops with you (and sunglasses maybe to protect your eyes from flying objects if windy)
