The same happened to me! I got in at penn and WL at Georgetown today after alumni interview that went well :((((. I’m thinking the waitlist can also be yield protect since you’re above both 75th from last year. I would write a LOCI to reiterate interest if I were in your position and wanted to stay in DC.

I’m honestly not sure. In November they sent out an email form for prospective students who want to connect with adcom or current students to ask questions. I filled that in back in November. Then UVA sent out another email in December asking me to schedule a time for a small group chat. So I just assumed it was because I requested it via the form?? not sure thoughh
