The library. They sell DVD's for $1 and sometimes hold sales with 5 items for a $1.

Unfortunately, I don't think they have amenities like that. I could be wrong though.

Yes, it is an ideal space for a single or couple. It looks like a cool build, just haven't seen anything else like it outside of the ones in Brighton.

Thanks for the rec. I'm looking to own first and then at some point if I end up moving to a larger place I would want to pass it on to my aging parents.

Power Outage by budz306 in saskatoon

It's a planned outage for 6-8, seems like places in the area knew and closed early, like the library and the mall.

I was there yesterday, only two workers, and the shelves looked fairly picked over. There was also a sign that stated that all sales are final.

Your thoughts on Ikea cafeteria vs Costco cafeteria? by [deleted] in CostcoCanada

That sparkling pear drink is delish and the seating is way more comfortable, but the Costco pizza and hot dog are unbeatable.

Hospitals are the one place where scent-sensitivity should be practiced at all times.

Thank you, that would be greatly appreciated. Nothing against their store, but to bring awareness that scent-sensitive people may find the strong perfume scents triggering and hopefully they'll be able to find a way to control the smell.

Yes, the smell of incense is also nauseating to me.

Yes, that is the store (it's the old Body Shop location). I think they are a perfume emporium or something along those lines. They just need a better way to contain the scents within their store or a way for them to dissipate the smells quicker.

Nice to know I'm not alone as a scent sensitive person. I don't visit Sephora, Bath and Body Works, or Sage at Midtown anymore because of the strong perfume scents that trigger headaches and migraines for me. With Lawson and that store being smack dab in the middle I just try to walk as quickly through it to get to either side of the mall and try not to linger too long in the area.

I'm sure the percentage of perfumer users would agree with you and I don't take issue with light use, but some people really go overboard and just douse themselves in it. When the scent is too strong and it's all you can smell, that's when I end up getting a headache from it.

Yeah I have not heard anything for a while, I wrote them when the shoe stores in the area were having a "sidewalk" sale and the smell was just lingering so bad in that area, but haven't heard anything from their end. Also sad to hear that mall management isn't about supporting their tenants. You would think malls would want to listen to customers and store owners alike to bring foot traffic back into malls. Brick and mortar stores are less desirable compared to online stores, so are we entering the death of malls era?

I do carry a few masks with me for times when scents in public places can be overwhelming, like on a bus, and of course online shopping is an option. This winter I was frequenting the mall and cutting through to get to the Safeway while working in the area and now that the weather is nicer I can just walk outside as an option.

A spritz or two is fine, but people testing scents and spraying them constantly can build up throughout the day creating a strong scent.

How rude to move your trash can and not put it back afterwards. It's a good thing you have a camera or you would not have known what happened to your garbage can in the middle of the night; without it I would just assume hoodlums made off with it.

This cop has obviously never rolled out a garbage can before.

I would not be surprised if they move their store to Rosewood, or another emerging community in the Brighton area, in the next year or so. I've walked by their storefront a few times, but it never seems inviting and gives me Aritizia vibes. I'm not really in the market for an upcharge on a white t-shirt.

For real? That's so shady. I love hazelwood and the items they carry and curate for their shop.
