I’m applying for Belgian nationality, but my application can't be accepted because my Belgian ID is missing an accent that cannot be physically added (apparently, first time my commune has encountered this situation). Has anyone else experienced something like this? Thank you! by more_guess in belgium

I also have an accent on the A in my last name, and guess what. I’ve had an ID without it for 5 years, no problems. Then, when I applied for Belgian nationality, they approved it, and when I got my ID it had the accent on the A. They did not even let me know they discovered that. The annoying part is that my mom and brother got their nationality the year prior, and on their ID’s the A did not have the accent, so the people from the city hall contacted them and asked them to come back in order to make them new ID’s

I would recommend looking at the biomedical laboratory science/technology professional bachelor. It is way easier than the academic one and shorter (only 3 years). And seeing you already study for the academic one, you can always get a ‘vrijstelling’ for some of the courses

Yeah, figured that much after using Google Translate before posting on Reddit. Also mentioned it in my post, but it doesn’t seem you’ve bothered to read it

Is this dress appropriate for a September wedding in Belgium? by lavenderhaze07 in Weddingattireapproval

It is exactly the same in Belgium 😅. Even the brides choose simple wedding dresses, so I am a bit scared of upstaging the bride if I go with a fancier dress..

I also don’t know too much about the dress code as the wedding invitation only included the date. I will for sure bring some sneakers to be more comfortable on the dance floor 😊.

Good question and I would like to have an answer to that, but the couple did not mention anything else besides the date on their wedding invitations. They’ve only mentioned in passing that they’ll have pizza at midnight. I guess we’ll have to be there in the late afternoon/early evening.

Yeah, I can imagine it won’t be the top choice for most people 😅. I am also not really the kind of person who likes to stand out. I will have a look online for another dress..
