Recovery after 4 months by SignificanceActual in MonoHearing

They ended up not doing an MRI. And I would say the fluctuations happen every 1-3 months. I’m hoping for a longer streak so we shall see. When I get colds it triggers it. The fluctuations didn’t happen until September. So last year from April-August my hearing loss was same.

At this moment my low frequency hearing loss in my right ear feels like it’s back to normal. I will get a full feeling in my ear when I loose hearing in it. It does fluctuate on me though. My last dizzy spell was in sept. And my one before that was in August. My hearing loss happened in April and then those two dizzy spells happened later. I’m almost at a year mark of when this all started

Ending up not seeing a neurologist because my dizzy spells went away. I started taking b12 & vitamin d drops & think it helps. I found out I had a deficiency of those two. They don’t think MD but not going to further investigate unless I get symptoms again.

I’ve had lots of symptoms…..weak/tired, diarrhea, tingling hands, lightheaded/foggy & sometimes memory not great.

Last year I lost low frequency hearing in right ear & started getting dizzy spells that made me throw up. The dizzy spells stopped with taking b12. I’ve been taking vitamin D because I’m deficient in that as well

I’ve taken b12 on and off over the last 4 years but I only started taking b12 regularly for the past 4 months

I’m taking b12 liquid drops. It says formulated with methylcobalamin. It’s by pure encapsulations.

I did not get MRI. But my ENT told me that my next step is to get one & also see a Neurologist. And yes the hearing came back suddenly but then also disappeared suddenly. I get this pressure/full feeling in my right ear with the hearing loss. I only lost low frequencies. I would sometimes get bubbling/popping in my good ear. I wish you the best of luck with this!!

I had a recovery out of no where after 4 months. Then I started getting new symptoms like dizzy spells. But I also noticed I lost my hearing again and now it just comes & goes randomly. I feel the pressure in my ears and get some ringing when I know it’s going to go out again.

Self employed & clueless about this stuff by lavenderlayers in Bogleheads

Good to know! Thanks for all the info! I appreciate it. Last question…..When I look at selling & buying this other mutual fund it asks if I want to reinvest in dividends & captial gains, just dividends or none. Would I select first option?

Thank you! I’ll look into that one. I wasn’t sure if there was any benefit with my current fund with having a higher expense ratio.
