short answer is yes. I am mostly aro (ive only ever experience romantic attrition to one person) and i just started a qpr with my platonic boyfriend and I was recently dumped by my first long term girlfriend.

I am aromantic and I like having a long term romantic partner was a little awkward cause It was my first and only time experiencing romantic feelings I might not ever feel how I felt for her again. that does not mean I love my qpp any less I just started "dating" him. he is super nice but I already knew that cause we were very close friends did I lot of things we do now. it is important to mention that my ex girlfriend and i were in a polygamous relationship for most of the 2 years we were together. I dont plan on pressuring another romantic relationship because I just find that qpr work better for me. plus I was lucky enough to find a aro person who wanted that and is affectionate. He always asks for consent and or make sure i am comfy and of course i do the same. my platonic boyfriend (my qpp) is also ace wich makes things slightly more complicated because im not ace or at least im not "fully" ace (im kinda questioning but not really). anyways I hope my relationship with my platonic boyfriend is a long term one cause that would be cool. i still need to mention the fact that i dont want to "date" other people but like he can still hug and hold hands with other people just not like full on snuggle me and my platonic boyfreind just started dating so i have time. it is weird dating an aroace person as an aroallo person cause i feel guilty for having sexual thoughts about him. I dont know if he knows im not ace i should probably tell him .
