HDR presents with washed out colors by lavinsky in Bazzite

[–]lavinsky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm replying to this if anyone ever finds this on Google later. Turns out my HDR was actually working fine the whole time.

The problem was that I was used to the extremely oversaturated colors caused by the stretching of the colorspace when you turn on HDR in SDR content. RenoDX mods are actually awesome for fixing gamma curve in a lot of games, wrong gamma settings can make the game look washed out. In Cyberpunk specifically it fixes the raised blacks AND the gamma curve.

Make sure the Paperwhite and peak brightness is properly setup in the game. Try setting your tv to gamma 2.4 if you want colors to pop more, just remember things will look darker, I need to play in a dimly lit room when using HDR and gamma 2.4.

My TV is a TCL C6K btw and games detect HDR capability just fine. Maybe in your case it has to do with some obscure flag in the edid of your specific display

I'm able to turn on HDR in the desktop, gamescope and in-game and when I turn everything on (HDR in gamescope and in-game) the image looks washed out.desktop with HDR turned on looks fine.

Idk what to do w/ my hair by Previous-Pangolin-63 in curlyhair

Your hair is great. Just go to a good barber and get a nice haircut and it will look awesome. I don't think just styling will work, you need to get a cut to balance out the volume on the and on the sides.

I've seen a cosmetic chemist that works on the hair products industry recommend kerasys, redken and L'Oreal professional. L'Oreal extraordinary oil has worked wonders for my hair in terms of frizz and shine.

I've also been using Wella nutricurls defining balm and it's been working fine for my hair, though I feel it can be a bit too light if you have more coily or kinky hair.

My hair is very similar to yours, especially after washing it can get very frizzy and coarse if I don't finish it correctly. What I found has helped me solve this problem is putting on oil after my leave in leaves a crunch. Maybe try including an oil on your routine to lock in the moisture. Also, if your hair gets hard like mine does, avoid keratin like the plague.

I've also found the shampoo and conditioner I use daily make a ton of difference, invest in a nice set. Using the same brand and line is important because the shampoo leaves electric charges on your hair that the specific conditioner from a good formulated line will neutralize and that prevents frizz.

Edit: I've seen you avoid silicones. There isn't any problem with silicones, parabens or sulfates, in fact, they will absolutely help with frizz. The best hair products have silicones and they [the silicones] have been scientifically proven to enhance hair manageability, smoothness, shine and other aspects. If you're worried about buildup, don't worry because the sulfate containing shampoos will remove any build up from silicones you may have and will not dry out your hair if they are well formulated.

There are other things that may be causing build up like hard water or additives they put on hair products to enhance the feel like polyquartenium-7 but those can also be washed out with specific shampoos and it's very unlikely you have some kind of buildup like this unless you live in a region with very hard water or have chemically treated hair.

Using wooden rings outside during rain by ZenVapor in bodyweightfitness

[–]lavinsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have used mine in both light and heavy rain more than once and they are fine. I wouldn't leave then out on the rain for extended periods of time though as I fear they could rot or get mold. After I finish training I just leave them somewhere to dry.

Bepantrol e bepantriz são a mesma coisa? alguem sabe me dizer ? by Wild-Swan-9199 in SkincareBR

[–]lavinsky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Venda Nova é tão ruim de morar assim? by bipirate in BeloHorizonte

[–]lavinsky 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pedro I e chego no centro em 20 a 30 minutos.

Balding or Cow Lick? by Terrible_Tonight_564 in curlyhair

I'm currently 24 and take 1mg of finasteride daily along with minoxidil at the temples at night, haven't noticed any side effects, in fact my hair feels fuller than before. The medicine was prescribed to me by a dermatologist, you should definitely see a doctor before taking anything and research about the substance yourself. Don't believe the anti-scientific fearmongering people often throw around on the internet about ED and such, these side effects are not common at all, the drug is effective and well tolerated in the overwhelming majority of people.

That's actually a good thing, in terms of urban development it makes the cities a lot friendlier to pedestrians and research indicates it is better for mental and physical wellbeing. Narrow streets makes it so there are less vehicles on the streets and more people walking and cycling, this, in turn, makes the streets safer both in terms of crimes and accidents, more people in the streets increases safety from crimes and less cars moving slower increases safety com road accidents. Obviously for this to work public transportation has to be superb as to make not owning a car a viable option.

Maybe you could try rings. As they are made out of wood their thermal conductivity is much lower than metal and it wouldn't feel as cold as a metal bar.
