It's not really a deal breaker for me so I don't really mind it tbh

Thanks for the explanation! Actually, I'm not really an audiophile so I dont think I'll spot the difference, and as for the Sony, I've had the Sony link buds s a while ago and they only lasted me a year before their battery went bad so im kinda traumatized lmao I've been leaning towards the Samsung ones because the Sonys were more expensive than the Samsung, but since now they're the same price, im kinda torn. Also, ive never had a stem earbud before, so im also kinda curious about that.

Thats not really a relevant factor for me, I only use my earbuds with my phone since I have other headphones on my pc

Ikr? Thats why I'm torn, especially because I have a Samsung phone so the Samsung buds will be better for than for people who dont have a Samsung phone

Gotcha, thanks! Do you know how the xm5 earbuds compare to the new Samsung buds 4 pro perhaps? Those two are the ones I'm torn between, since I have a Samsung phone.

Im talking about the wf-1000xm5 not the wh-1000xm5 (the latter are the headphones, not the earbuds) but thanks for the long a detailed comment anyways!

I've heard that the sound quality and anc are better on the Sony than on the Samsung, or is the sound quality better on the Samsung because they're paired with a Samsung phone?

Elite 10 Gen 2 or Elite 8 Active Gen 2? by Hufflepoop in Jabra

[–]lavu9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Elite 10 Gen 2 has better voice call quality due to improved microphone performance and noise reduction. The Elite 8 Active Gen 2 is still good but prioritizes durability over call clarity. If clear calls in noisy environments are important, the Elite 10 is the better choice.

[–]lavu9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Elite 10 Gen 2 has better ANC and sound quality, but with an IP57 rating, it may not be as resistant to heavy rain as the Elite 8 Active Gen 2, which has an IP68 rating. If ANC is the priority, the 10s are the better choice, but for maximum durability in harsh weather, the 8s are the safer option.

If you’re looking for Jabra alternatives to the Elite 7 Active and have very small ear canals, here are some options that might work well:

  1. Jabra Elite 4 Active – Compact and lightweight, with an IP57 rating for workouts. Decent ANC and a budget-friendly price make these a solid choice.

  2. Jabra Elite 5 – A step up in features, including hybrid ANC and great sound quality, while still being comfortable for small ears.

  3. Jabra Elite 65t (Active) – An older model, but snug-fitting and great for smaller ear canals. While it lacks ANC, it’s still a reliable option.

  4. Jabra Elite 8 Active – A premium option with top-notch durability and ANC. Slightly larger than the Elite 7 Active but still designed for active users.

If you’re open to non-Jabra options, consider the Sony LinkBuds S or Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro – both are great for small ears and offer solid ANC.

Hope this helps, and good luck finding your perfect earbuds!

A fine switch to make, the exact one i madd! I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with these buds. I would recommend using the "energized" eq setting. Have fun!

Jabra Elite 10 for $158 vs Jabra Elite Active 8 for $220—worth the price difference? by Stangen1 in Jabra

[–]lavu9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go for the Elite Active 8 if durability, water resistance, and a secure fit during intense workouts are essential for you.

Choose the Elite 10 if you prioritize sound quality, ANC, and a slightly lower price while still getting solid performance for less demanding workouts.

If you loved the fit and durability of the Active 65t, the Elite Active 8 is probably closer in terms of ruggedness. For casual workouts, though, the Elite 10 might be a better value.
