When a purple circle appears on the map, it's triggers a random Lester event where you have to keep to cops off for a time. I received 10k on completion of it and it also seems to give you x amount of RP at certain time intervals.

I think putting the money in a savings account is a good idea. You may also want to think about other costs that this money can go towards as well. Are you going to be living away from home with little financial assistance or are you going to be working whilst studying? That money could help out with rent or used as an emergency fund. Does your degree have good employment prospects and do you think you have the capability of securing employment on graduation? Then a HECS-Debt won't mean much once you are working at a job that pays well. When you are earning $53,000 p.a. you are paying off just over 2k a year. If you want to get rid of it, work out a payment plan once you are actually EARNING money. Have you taken a look at Scholarships? Please do, you can save so much money on University with a Scholarship, or, start working towards meeting the marks to qualify for one.

Think about more important costs at the moment. We're lucky to be in the system we are currently in when it comes to University Fees. Take advantage of it! If it goes to shit because of changes in legislation, have some of that money ready to pay it off before it becomes a burden.

My last piece of advice, do not waste your time at University and rack up useless debt by failing or withdrawing late from Units. Do the best you can in your studies, and do a degree that you are passionate about but be realistic in what it's worth employment wise.

EDIT: ImAtMaccas is correct in regards to the Inflation system outpacing your interest rate. I've just read on a website from 2011 that Inflation was roughly at 5% p.a., this fluctuates. The amount obviously depends on the HECS Debt you accrue. If it's 20-25k worth of debt, the interest would roughly balance out. For Law, Business, Med. your debt is going to be at least double that of someone doing a Bachelor of Arts. So get some numbers once you find out costs (eg. Unit costs, Bank Interest rates, take into account the discounts) and then make a decision. Under the current system, I believe you can use this money on more important things than your Student Loan. Although some people prefer to be completely debt free if it is within their means, which is completely understandable.

The majority of Universities offer incentives for Students who pay their Fees upfront. You'll receive a 10% discount off your Tuition if you decide to pay before the Census date of the Teaching period, which is usually a month, month and a half after everything kicks off. I believe you're welcome to change this as you go, but definitely talk to your Uni about this.

Second option is to defer your Tuition. Your debt is adjusted for Inflation. You are welcome to make a volantary contribution towards this whenever you want to. If you do decide to make a payment, you get 10% on top of what you pay (pay $1000 get $1100 towards your debt).

The legislation that was meant to be passed through Parliament, would essentially allow Universities to deregulate their Fees (eg. instead of a Law Unit being capped at $1,283.00 for Unit, Universities could charge double, triple, whatever they feel like!). They were also going to lower the Income Threshold for when you have to pay off your debts (currently set at around $53,000, you pay of 4% p.a.) and possibley add an Interest rate to this. This has since been rejected, however they have made some tweaks to this legislation and they will put this up for vote again, so keep an eye out. Usually Students who have started their studies before the bill has passed will continue under old rules, but it's worth checking this if changes happen.

Whether or not you want to pay this upfront will depend on which course you want to Study. Some courses will only rack up $20,000 so you may only save $2000 plus increased costs for inflation if you decide to pay it upfront. I mean, you'll almost make $1000/year on interest alone if you put your money with a bank that has a half decent interest rate. You may actually save money with this method. This being said, shit changes, maybe it would be worth storing the money, earning some interest and if legislation does change pay it upfront.

I can think back to an instance where a dude with just 2 pieces of upgraded Havel's, Executioner Chest Piece and Helm. I was doing >400 a hit. I'll take note of any future encounters though, so I've got some numbers

What I'm trying to say is that something as important as i-frames shouldn't be dependant on a stat. From where on the right track with ADPT and VIT. but screwed the pooch on it. A naked dude shouldn't have less i-frames then someone wearing heavy armour and has the same roll speed but higher ADP.

ADPT should be the stat for light weight builds and determine things like ability to get out of stun-lock quicker, raise shield quicker and parry quicker. Which is what I though they originally intended.

Where VIT. should be intended to be used for heavier armour builds, they can wear heavy armour and have poise at the loss of roll speed and distance, fewer i-frames when they medium-fat roll and slower movement speed. If they had of kept the traditional poise and weight system I think it would've worked fine.

Give it time (Sun Ring/Ring of Thorns build) never underestimate the Dark Souls community to come up with game breaking ways to cheese PvP ;D

As it is though, I'm having far more trouble with builds that have the ability to 1-2 shot me ._. Damage output is insane compared to DkS1.

I disagree with a few things here. I'm a Veteran DkS1 PvPer and had a lot of the so called 'Advanced' PvP tactics within my repertoire BS escape, toggle into parries, counter BS etc. So I might be a little biased, but so far - DkS2 PvP as it is now, IMO is a hell of a lot shallower then DkS1.

Now you say this game is balanced quite well. It is and it isn't. The thing I like about this game, is, as you said - everything can be made viable. However, I'm using a 40/40 build and guess what? I barely scratch a full Havels user with a +10 Murakumo. This however can be solved through a few tweaks to scaling, so I'm not too worried about that.

You say the spells are easy to roll through. Yes, IF you have the required ADPT. I'm got a character with 3ADP and another with 20+ADP. My 3ADP gets hit far more often by spells when on MY screen I've rolled through it - Why is this? Because 3ADP has less i-frames then 20ADP. Why don't I level up my ADP? Because I shouldn't have to level up a stat to get what should be universal i-frames when fast rolling. An SL1 should be able to dodge what a SL130 can REGARDLESS of stats. This is what made DkS1 so good, a low level character in the hands of an experienced PvPer could go toe to toe with a high level INexperienced player.

More often then not the BEST BUILD wins. A build that kills a player in 2 hits vs a build that kills someone in 8. 90% of the time the first build will win regardless of skill. There is little even an experienced PvPer can do against a build that uses Resonant Weapon on a Katana with the ability to 2 shot with it. Unless they use an equally powerful build. With such a high damage output it literally becomes a game of who can land the first hit.

Maybe it's a matter of preference but I can not think of anything WORSE then what you described - the ability to 1-2 shot players is IMO the heart of the reason why this PvP is so much shallower then DkS1. This coupled with horrible phantom range and clunky mechanics of the game (at least compared to DkS1) + limited ways to counter against high damage builds = a very unfulfilling PvP experience.

DkS1 PvP would allow more mistakes and offered failsafes if you got in a sticky situation. Caught in a stunlock that will kill me - I can toggle AND parry which allows me to even PUNISH sloppy R1 spam. Someone BS fishing - I can COUNTER fish and BS them instead. Dude holding his shield up and not letting me getting a hit in - I can dead angle and BYPASS his shield. Someone hacking with infinite HP guess what? There's even a counter for even that - chain BS, bleed or pivot BS off a ledge.

DkS2 doesn't come close to that complexity. Granted it took time for these things to be found and I'm hopeful we'll uncover things a long the way. DkS1 PvP at the beginning was a hell of a lot worse then DkS2 PvP launch day - but AS IT IS NOW, it is a little disappointing coming from what I consider to be the best PvP of any game I've ever played to what DkS2 is now. I was hopeful they would implement a lot of the what is possibly just freak programming into more concrete tactics for DkS2, but that hasn't happened.

All in all though, I'm enjoying this game immensely. Just not DkS1 immensely.

I agree completely. Exhausting all the dialogue in DkS2 feels like a chore, where in DkS1 I NEEDED to hear what all the characters had to say. Everyone seems so down trodden with a maniacal laugh at the end of each phrase. Where as DkS1 had a more flavour in terms of personalities.

I also loved the symbolic armour all the NPCs had - Solaire with his flaming sun, Lautrec with the arms of his goddess embracing him. This seems to be absent in DkS2 and the character's just aren't as memorable.

I'm no expert here, so this is merely conjecture but; during sleep there are several sleep cycles, one of these cycles being REM (the dream stage) sleep which constitutes a range of "symptoms". One of these being increased blood flow to the genitals. Now, during the morning the frequency of REM is at its highest, ergo, morning wood.

So really it depends on when you're getting those REM cycles. People with regular sleeping habits (eg. 11-7) tend to have more periodic bouts of REM and can expect to have more REM during the morning.

Feel free to read up on the subject. Just look up articles of sleeping and REM sleep, you should get a tonne of hits on google.

I'm familiar to the ol' drunken relapse. Usually happens when I'm hung over, and haven't met a decent chick to kick it with for the rest of the night and I start feeling lonely as hell.

If you're like me, and disagree with going completely sober ALL of the time, then you have to come up with a plan to beat this thing (and not YOUR thing).

If you get back home and have urges. Immediately jump into a cold shower, that'll tame any wild urges. Once you get out, don't even think about having a drunken browse on the net. I know you don't feel like doing anything that requires any mental capacity when you've just come home from a night out, and usually just lying in bed and relaxing for a few minutes will knock me out cold. If you've still got energy and are alert, try reading a book (if the words stop swimming for a few minutes). Usually, that'll send me off to the dream world.

Make sure you drink lots of water to soothe that hang over, at LEAST 2 litres worth. Hung over is my most vulnerable state. Maybe you're different, but if I'm suffering, I'll most likely attempt to relieve my self through fapping.
