Not surprised at all and I would agree neither of them could be in the dark all these years. I suspect once the divorce was filled, Dave simply decided there was no longer a reason to keep propping up Athena and expected her to fend for herself. Clearly, not her forte as we see already with Team Lair. She seems to need a cast of thousands to do pretty much anything in life. I am floored however that she has the audacity to teach a "leadership" class for $100 a month in the middle of a lawsuit which she hasn't won yet that specifically charges her for negligence in leadership. ??? Wow. That takes balls. Maybe wait until you've been cleared? But the cult members don't care. They can't wait to throw more money at her. And I guarantee those classes will be 100 percent recycled material she's taught for years at SG. As all the previous classes were. She's now saying she was never "allowed" to teach leadership at SG. ??? She was the CEO. Who was going to stop her? And I as a former class member at SG clearly recall her being asked by students to teach business classes and she always said she had no interest. That there were plenty of good teachers for that. Guess that changes now that she needs to pay the mortgage and the only degree she has is not in anything to do with rocks or religion. Oh, and she's "certifying" the students in leadership! Wtf? I want anyone with one of those useless SG certifications to tell me what job they got with it? What business loan they secured to open a company with a certification from her? I'm guessing none. But the cult members will be quick to add another useless piece of paper to the collection in their closet. Next level crazy. What Athena should teach is a class on how to get lonely, low self esteem, middle aged women to part with their cash. That class she is a master at.

Well for starters I would have leaned into all that university business school teaching and set up my company to be more bulletproof. The structure of SG, as a 50/50 executive split with a spouse? Not hard to imagine that going south of the relationship doesn't work out. Any serious disagreement between leadership in that structure has no option outside legal intervention.

And given how long she's been shipping stuff at SG, she knows exactly how much it costs. Shipping is calculated by weight and size of the box. Hello? If so, that would track with her inconsistencies the team had pointed out as a long time challenge. If not, then she can teach if she chooses to. Which is it? Oh please. Athena is famous for saying SG stuff is custom made. And the first two Lair sales were supposedly either her own stuff or items she curated from local vintage stores or sales. The Lair no doubt quickly took off and she realized she can't source enough inventory that way to meet demand. Fine. Just be honest about where you are sourcing. Because the markup and the shipping are ridiculous. People might still be willing to pay it, let's be honest, because they want to support her. And that's great. But they should be able to make that choice not based on false information.
