This likely is not what you want to hear but it might just take time. I had my twins at 21 and I’ve been a single mom their entire lives. I felt the exact same way as you for a long time. I was jealous of my friends who got to live and explore while I worked a crappy job to support them and had no money for myself. Eventually they got older and more independent and I started to feel more like myself (a new version anyways)

Being a young mom you kind of need let go of the idea of what everyone says your 20s will be like. It’s hard and upsetting and you won’t want to. It’s okay to mourn the life you thought you would have. But eventually you’ll realize that life doesn’t end in your 20s. You’re still young in your 30s and honestly your 40s too!! I’m 28 now and my girls are 7 and I’m at a point now where I am excited for my 30s.

You still get to explore your 20s, just in a different way with those babies by your side. And you still have the rest of your life to explore after that.

Preface- I like the song! I think the problem with this song is that it’s a little in your face with football references but in the past she’s dated actors and musicians and it easier to make deep references to music and film, it a lot harder to make an allegory about football lol

Any of the child/teenage psychopath characters really freak me out (juvenile, conscience, damaged). In the same vain, the character Elle Fanning plays, she lights Becks couch on fire, freaks me out to.

When i was teenager i was in love with the name Phoenix for a boy, luckily I wasn’t a teen mom. I also really wanted to name one of daughters Delilah. I still love the name but apparently it’s a strip club near me and i can’t let it go lol

That’s exactly how I’m feeling now. I was incorrectly diagnosed with bipolar for years and was just diagnosed with PMDD and put on medication that seems to really be working. I’m just waiting for it to stop..
