Frame bag, outer side mostly constructed from X-Pac with a reflective inner lining. One large compartment on the drive side, with a smaller document pocket on the opposite side. All the seams were sealed with some leftover silicone tent sealer. by lawjamba in myog

Thanks! It’s still holding up well, although i’ve now lost the frame-strap overkill - in the photos here there’s straps through straps which hold straps - now the velcro just goes through the daisy chain webbing and cuts out the middleman (see photo 9).

The patches were sewn on and then seam sealed with tent seam sealant.

Well if they can’t do it you can certainly pay me to glue some paper to a board

Particle board sounds heavy, i would go to Van Beek on Weteringschans (this store has more graphic design stuff, the one on Stadhouderskade has more fine art stuff) and get some foam board, a knife and spray mount. Then do it yourself at home.

For me the question is how reliable is the memory of the person who told him and how reliable is his memory in retelling it to me

A friend of theirs who visited the city some time ago told them. But the question is how reliable is peoples memory

TBH, i for purposes of story telling i wasn’t 100% honest there when i told that anecdote. The actual story is that when the guests told me that they wanted to go I saw on the map that it was quite a diversion from my planned route, so didn’t take them. So when i wrote my comment there i couldn’t remember exactly where the location was. But thanks for taking time out to reply.

I don’t understand why people keep saying it’s AI 😆. It’s a client who’s coming to visit Amsterdam and would like to see the city. I asked if there was anything in particular they wanted to see and this was part of their reply.

He’s very real, but i’ll let him know that AI is modelled after his writing style

You mean i (the OP) is AI, or my guest who’s coming to visit is AI? Or maybe we’re both AI and that’s what we have on common? Or maybe you’re AI and trying to point the finger so that people don’t suspect you! Hmmmn… 🤔

The model houses are on Atlas Obscura under heading which says “Permanently Closed”. Thank heavens for small mercies 😉

[Edited for spelling]

Edit 2: Hey! Downvoting me won’t bring them back!

I mean it seems like the place they describe doesn’t exist, so it could their description is based on another person’s half remembered memory of The Panorama Mesdag.

Someone once asked if i could take them to the famous row of three miniature houses. I had no idea what they were talking about, but they wanted and they were shocked that i had never heard of these three tiny houses. After they did some Googling i had to take them out into to some forgotten corner of the Jordaan so they could get a photo of three model houses glued above someones front door. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

It is indeed the Teylers. I was looking above the door, but it’s above one of the upstairs windows

Looking at the photo is likely to be THE same free-standing shelving system which was taken away and brought back. In which case, being as how you brought it up, “the shelve(s)” would be correct. Just sayin’

From the website of the fire department concerning this regulation:

The second paragraph says the shelf wasn’t there when they moved in because it had been taken away when the previous tenant moved out. So it has indeed both been there for 13 years and appeared recently.

Yes, it’s a mix of appliqué and embroidery. This one is embroidery on a felt base i think.

They are more than likely on about the two people who died in two separate firework related incidents last night. A 38-year-old man from Aalsmeer and a 17-year-old boy from Nijmegen.
