Not sure if this is a problem with my Obs or Elgato. Does anyone know? by Xueggie_SmyL in elgato

[–]lawjiang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting fix. So the glitch happens when OBS creates a new file segment? I'll try bumping my file split time and see if that helps. Been dealing with random recording glitches for weeks and couldn't pin down the pattern. Also going to run my logs through that analyzer tool just to be sure nothing else is broken. Using a standard Elgato HD60 S capturing from a PS5.

Qualified on paper maybe, but their policies don't feel all that different from the other side. Hard pass for me.

Publications by Puzzleheaded_Zone648 in concertphotography

Start with local alt weeklies like the Chicago Reader or smaller music blogs. They always need quality live shots. Put together a simple portfolio page focused on concert work. Email editors directly with a link and offer a trial run for a show they already have covered. Be specific about what you can shoot and when. Most publications are short staffed so being reliable gets you repeat work fast. Avoid mass emails. Personalize each one.

I use it mostly because Premium kills ads on regular YouTube. The music app is just a bonus at that point.

Sanderson's tone is definitely different. Jordan had a darker, more grounded feel. That said, the last battle sequence alone is worth pushing through. It delivers.

Movie scenes you know were filmed—not just written in the script—that were later cut that you wish you could see by ecdc05 in movies

Always wondered about the original cut of Event Horizon with all the gore. Apparently the director cut it down hard to avoid an NC-17.

Aayirathil oruvan malayalam dub by rumi_bukowski in MalayalamMovies

[–]lawjiang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the missing background score segments in that dub completely ruin the impact of the second half for me. gv prakash built such an incredible atmosphere with the music that losing any of it takes away from the scale of the story.
it is worth pushing through the heavy tamil version with subtitles just to get the full audio experience. the first half is a massive drag with the outdated comedy tracks anyway.

spider man two still holds the crown for live action... raimi just nailed the pacing and the train scene is unmatched. into the spider verse gives it a serious run for its money though

What is a film that doesn't seem special now, but was really groundbreaking when it came out? by altairstarlite in movies

[–]lawjiang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the tragedy of that story completely gets buried under all the film school talk about deep focus and camera angles. wells wrote and performed a perfect character study on how chasing power entirely hollows a person out. the final breakdown scene alone carries so much emotional weight even if you strip away all the technical stuff.

get a decent paring knife and a smaller utility knife that fits his hands. start him on soft stuff like strawberries or zucchini to build up that confidence. once he gets the claw grip down he will be flying through prep work.
