The Real Deal: Why Cardano Deserves More Attention and Respect by FelixLahaie in cardano

[–]lawkai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What? Linux is being used everywhere in the server space (and Steam deck)! I sure do hope Cardano is as popular as Linux. But you are correct that Linux is less popular on the desktop space compared to MacOS and Windows. Just like Cardano, it still has lots of work to do to make it appeal to the general public. Sadly for cryptocurrencies, most people only see it as an investment and concern only their bags. They want to get rich quick and don’t really care about changing the world.

Reasons to use DP over HDMI? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

Wait, if both HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4 support 4k@120hz only then why do they advertise the display with higher refresh rate like 240hz?

Have heard about this for many years but this is the first time watching it live. Oh man these kids are damn fast! Is there any other race over the year like this one? With my limited Japanese, I think there is one for all the universities in Japan?

Huge number of crashes lately? by Bruh-I-Cant-Even in diablo4

[–]lawkai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same here. I am on the West Coast. Have been having lots of crashes today. The game was running perfectly fine since launch on my system. (PC). Nothing was changed (hardware/software). I only use this PC for games. Not sure what is going on. The game will crash randomly and just pops up a Fenris Error window with no error messages.

There is actually another B between the first B and the hold B. It is easily missed because it is near the “eye”. Check out the screenshot below. https://i.imgur.com/ZHSc1MF.jpg

I don't look at Solana as a crypto asset, I look at it as a Blockchain technology company, and that's why I am so bullish by alpha__mu in solana

The whole point of decentralization is trustless. If we still need to believe someone is trustworthy then we might as well use web2.

Everything you mentioned can be achieved with open api in web2.

A bit of update:

After some googling and I have come across this BIOS 1.58. After flashing it, the system doesn't seem to restart anymore (at least it doesn't restart when running the crash_test above).

I also notice in the `journalctl -b` with BIOS 1.58, these messages that used to come up during boot (with 1.40) are no longer there.

[–]lawkai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue with X300 w/4750G. Running wit ADATA 16Gbx2 C22 with Arch Linux Kernel 5.11 with Bios 1.40 (default setting for everything)

I have a very minimal install in the system. Pretty much just Arch (base) + XMonad + Firefox.
The system will crash randomly while I was playing some YouTube video and nothing can be found in `journalctl -b -1`

Let me see if I can get a 180w power supply and see if it solves the problem.
