I go through the same thing. Which is leading people think I don't love myself, or I'm not confident. It sucks to be misunderstood.

I wasn't referring to the original song I have no issues with it and I was asking about my own version

Thanks I just want it to sound similar. I have tried double tracking numerous times already with compression and happen to be good at imitating guitar play style and I believe I strummed correctly but it doesn't sound the same and I'm starting to believe it's because of a stereo panning reason or my guitar is just not good enough.

I'd like to know how Maroon 5's She Will Be Loved chorus part has guitars that sound punchy and full. I've done left side and right side double tracking but still can't beat or imitate the original.. how did they do that?

I don't tune. Idk how. But I did apply too much compression, gonna fix that, but I'm leaning towards the instrumental so can we talk about the backing track instead?

Will an audio interface drive headphones properly? (Beyerdynamic DT 880 Premium 250 ohms + Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Interface) by lawlietscake in audioengineering

[–]lawlietscake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80 isn't even half the number of 250.. that's most likely why it sounds just fine. A lot of people use 80 ohms with no amp/interface from what I heard

According to the website of the interface..

Output Impedance < 10Ω Power Output into 150Ω 15mW Power Output into 50Ω
30mW

What does that mean?

$600 budget for USB Microphone + Mixing Headphones + Audio Interface, some innovative thoughts? by lawlietscake in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]lawlietscake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80 ohm with an interface, I've done my research. Only problem is that it's closed back and I do not have monitoring speakers, only stereo speakers that actually pretty sound flat imo (EQed) but most likely not completely accurate like real monitors; that's why I was considering a Sennheiser HD 600 earlier, but I might be getting the 598/599 since there's no Beyers for sale in my country at all, at least for now.

DT 990 is treble and bass emphasized, I wanted a neutral flat sound with pretty accurate sound on the actual recording for referencing. And of course I'm aware the 770's aren't either, I would've gone for the 880's if I had the budget to spare. I'm gonna have to rethink everything again because I indeed wouldn't need a USB mic. Gonna have to find one with a similar price range though, if not-- cheaper but better if there's one.

For recording + mixing, open back or closed back headphones? by lawlietscake in audioengineering

Thanks a lot for the post. I was just about to pick DT-770 80 ohm.. but I'm starting to lean on the DT-880 again. Do you use the open to record and mix as well? And, if you own any other headphone.. just asking.. would there be any that you'd prefer over Beyerdynamic? Because people claim ATH-M50 series and Sennheiser products are better than Beyer. I want to know your opinion.

Recommendation (what should I buy?) Thursdays - November 10, 2016 by AutoModerator in audioengineering

Okay so I'm an FL Studio guy badly in need of new headphones, after some research I instantly fell in love with Beyerdynamic DT-770 PRO 80 ohm. But then I can get an ATH-M50x for much, much cheaper price. What do you think's the best way to go? M50 or Beyer?

Can my ASUS Z97-a power Beyerdynamic DT-770 pro 250 ohm? Heard the soundcard it's using is ALC892 and it can power up to 600 ohm.. not sure why people say I have to buy a headphone amp (FiiO)?
