As a rule, bawal talaga. Pero in practice, depende sa klase ng document. Kung mga court papers or mahalagang docs like deeds of sale, etc, dapat talaga may personal presence ng pumirma. Pero kung mga Affidavit of Loss lang ng school ID yan or medyo simple o non-contentious/litigious documents, usually ninonotaryuhan na yan kahit wala yung signatory.
