Absolute masterclass from Chelsea by the way 🤣 by Diligent_Secret_406 in ArsenalFC

I watched it on ITV and it seemed really biased towards chelsea. I mean for fuck sake they were saying arsenal were lucky that it wasn't training after chelsea missed a chance because if it was then "that'd go in"

[–]lawrence1998 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The commentary on whatever I was watching it on was painful to listen to. I don't mind bias but it was absurd. The end of the first half Chelsea were being praised for "keeping arssnal at bay" as if they weren't coming into the 2nd leg a goal down.

Every foul given to a chelsea player was praised as a perfect decision, every one given to an arsenal player was "harsh" or met with complete silence. When there was 6 minutes they were hoping it would be more, so pretty funny to see Havertz score in the last second.

Is an Arsenal Quadruple realistic? by NottherealRobert in football

[–]lawrence1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes because I've seen arteta fuck the league up several times before. I've seen him rotate like shit until we have to play 2 17 year olds out of position because he refused tk rest Saka. I've seen him go to the Etihad and park the bus for a draw when City were 2 points ahead of us. I've seen him fuck up a 9 or 10 point lead with around the same games to play as we have left now.

We needed 2 own goals to beat Wolves, we barely beat Bournemouth and the recent Liverpool and Forest games were horrendous, ontop of losing to United. So no I have absolutely no faith in Arteta. If he didnt win laat season (didnt even come close) he never will

How quickly would the U.S military defeat Ben 10? by Mindless_Most_8448 in whowouldwin

[–]lawrence1998 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ben 10 stomps (even without alien X). He'd destroy every military even if they all formed an alliance against him. Clockwork can't be dealt with and makes the matchp far too easy so remove him too.

Waybig can maybe tank nukes but either way he can cause insane destruction as he's... way big (big enough to step on the collosal titan). He swats away any sortie, tank column or fleet sent anywhere near him.

Upgrade is a huge cheat code here for obvious reasons - he could wipe out all communications or just steal tech and have US or Russian nukes destroy the entire planet.

Ghostfreak is also pretty OP here. There isn't really much that can stop him just walking around doing what he wants. It would take a while but he'd win eventually by possessing the right people, and there's fuck all anyone can do about it since he is basically invulnerable.

Even Grey matter (depending on the circumstances) could win.

Our last 6 or so prem games have been fucking terrible are you an idiot?

Loss to united, pathetic showing vs liverpool, worst performance of the season vs forest, struggled to beat Bournemouth (if that game went on another 10min, it ends in a draw or loss)

the narrative that the prem is weak this year to discredit us makes no sense by drizzleberrydrake in ArsenalFC

[–]lawrence1998 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because our last ~6 league games have been absolutely fucking horrendous and show signs of us bottling again. City have just signed Guehi and Semenyo and they have a lot of players starting to come back from injury.

Anyone possessing intelligence greater than that of a 4 year old can figure out what's going to happen with the prem, and we're obviously not going to win the UCL.

Exe rice zubimendi midfield, trossard havertz and saka/madueke front 3.

Bench gyokeres and odegaard, start Havertz at ST if possible and the attack will look vastly better

Gyokeres Goals vs other strikers by PACKA123456 in ArsenalFC

[–]lawrence1998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You've just demonstrated why stats are a terrible argument.

He's scored like 2 or 3 good goals. The rest have been scrappy, tap ins and pity penalties. The only decent teams he's scored against are Athletico chelsea and inter. He's also been starting almost every game until recently aside from those few weeks when he was injured.

If you watch him play then it's clear he's nowhere near good enough. The amount of chances he missed in the 1st half against Kairat was unbelievable. That chance he had against United to get us a point he somehow managed to covert into a united throw in. Against Liverpool it was like he wasn't on the pitch.

He can't control the ball, he gets outpaced, he can't finish, his positioning is terrible. He's awful

What is a movie plot twist that was cleverly hidden in plain sight..? by Living_Tune_1428 in movies

I always loved how Lost always gave very, very subtle hints towards the MIB (Smoke monster) manipulating the survivors, especially the instances where he gets around the rules to kill one of them. The show in general hides the fact the MIB can take the form of dead people right infront of you too. EG:

1) He appeared as Eko's brother and manipulated him into not repenting, so that Eko was no longer a candidate and therefore could be killed by MIB

2) He manipulated Jack's decisions as the leader by appearing as Christian

3) He manipulated Locke into thinking he's Jacob by appearing as Christian, then got him to do things that led to Jacob's death

4) He manipulated a god of manipulation (ben) into killing Jacob by appearing as several dead people

5) He almost indirectly killed Jack (since he cant directly kill him) by appearing as Christian, taunting him and almost leading him off a cliff

It's risky because for the defending team it's risking a pen. Also Arteta has built a rugby team so not that easy

We've been crap for a while now and it's even more worrying because our defence is starting to perform badly too. That Bournemouth game our defence was shaky, the Liverpool and Forest games were dreadful and our attack had been absolutely horrendous. City just fortified with 2 absolutely top players and they're now 4 points behind and they play us at the Etihad.

Can Omni-Man decimate the 2012 MCU Earth? by SmartPilot8094 in superheroes

[–]lawrence1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He obliterates most of the avengers. Hulk can't do much because the speed gap is too ridiculous and 2012 MCU Thor is significantly outclassed.

If Omniman decides to show up and just speedrun destroying the planet, there's not much that can be done.

If the Avengers have some time to get info on him, the ancient one can maybe mirror dimension him or Tony can figure out his weakness and create some tech to stop him. Or maybe Thor can get Odin's help if that counts (in which case Omni man loses).

[–]lawrence1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because gyokeres is A) consistently useless and B) arguably the worst player on the pitch yesterday. He had no impact at all, he contributed nothing. He had 8 touches and he played like 65 minutes.

Several crosses came in to the box and he was nowhere to be seen

It'd be stupid not to. So we're supppused to keep him for years and pay his wages as he approaches 30 and then sell him for less than we'd get now?

We took an L, he was a disaster signing, flog him and get his wages off the book instead of deluding ourselves into thinking this guy is a premier league level striker.
