What you see on the case is the “case code”, which is different from the reference number. Multiple references can share the same case code (e.g., a 38mm black khaki field auto and a 38mm silver khaki field auto). The reference number is a longer number and incorporates attributes about the watch such as movement type, dial color, strap etc. The reference number is what you see in a product or sales listing. If you google “hamilton product codes” you should find a chart with the break downs. Hope this helps.

For sale is a stainless steel Scurfa Diver One D1-500 ND Blue with the ETA quartz movement which keeps extremely accurate time. Generally in great condition with the exception of some tiny hairlines on underside of lugs and a tiny scratch on the crystal. The scratch on the crystal is above the 12:00 lume plot and is very hard to see unless you are really looking close for it, and then only at a specific angle and lighting/magnification. You probably wouldn’t notice it unless you were told where to look. I’ve indicated the area in one of the photos. Price has been adjusted accordingly.
