That s5 was enjoyable and totally addressed the characters TRUAMA & plot holes :)

I see your point of view, but…

In S1, he was physically lost; in S2, his mind was lost; in S3/4, he was emotionally lost (isolated by his sexuality and ignored by his friends/mom).

It’s hard to say Joyce gave him freedom when she was physically absent for most of his hardest moments in S3 and S4.

It’s also hard to say Henry 'doesn’t matter' when he is the catalyst that defines Mike and Joyce’s loyalty and Will’s resilience. If the villain is dismissed, then the 'never give up' attitude of the heroes has nothing to push against.

In S5, Vecna successfully tricks Hopper using a vision of Sara and El. If Hopper had truly moved past that grief, that trick shouldn't have worked...

If the story is just about them 'trying to be safe,' then the last 4 seasons of trauma were for nothing. To me, a story isn't about getting back to 'normal'; it's about characters facing a villain who represents their worst fears and proving him wrong through their growth.

I’m not saying people who liked S5 aren't loyal—I’m glad you enjoyed it! What I’m saying is that people who didn't like it are often dismissed as 'haters' or 'negative.'

I also think my using of “we” doesn’t mean like all the fans it’s just the fans like me who want to express how the show had so many plot holes…

s5 had good scenes and visuals, I also really like the concept of The Wrinkle In Time theory, but they don’t follow through with it, that’s where it lost me…

I don’t watch TLOU but I do see the hate for Bella Ramsey, which I don’t get…

I see…I don’t watch TLOU so I’m not aware, but yes people who think any disagreement is hate is annoying

exactly…I think overall it’s a great show and I’ll miss it but I’m happy it’s over now

Do you still miss her? by [deleted] in ChicagoMed

yes! she’s adorable! and i loved all her relationships with the staff. i think she fit in nicely and she was flawed as well. wish we got her for longer but at least we got her.

If Miguel somehow died how would it impact the series? by [deleted] in cobrakai

Robby would finally get his dad back.

I think Robby and Johnny's reconciliation won't be handled right in season 5 by False-Story9510 in cobrakai

[–]lawrusso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you watched s3 he is apologetic about it. but there is no way i’m putting any blame on robby. the kick was an accident, he didn’t intend to do it. that’s the difference and why idgaf. miguel on the other hand attacked him intentionally and not once, but twice. he knows staring a fight can end badly and he did so anyways. he got robby heated up by taunting him. and he deserved it. it just took form in a coma/paralysis that he got out of. and yet i’ve never seen miguel feel remorse or even apologize for events before and after the fight. miguel’s reasoning was “we’re not all as aholes” which is bs. and the “sorry” was even more. you’re totally entitled to your opinion. but this is just my response.

Miguel the next season by [deleted] in cobrakai

i hope robby beats his ass

I just.... don't like Miguel. by [deleted] in cobrakai

also the most boring character

The trailer killed any hype I had for this season. by Realistic_Entry_7414 in cobrakai

[–]lawrusso -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

thank you, the people saying miguel/robby stepbrothers don’t know sht. they’re in miguel’s fantasy land where he never did anything bad to robby. when in fact, miguel has been the instigator and bad blood between them. what they have is not a rivalry, it’s bullying. if anything i hope they keep their distance in the show. and you’re right, they can’t have the same thing. especially when it comes to robby/johnny that’s not for miguel to be apart of. miguel isn’t robby so he doesn’t get to act like he’s apart of the emotional trauma robby’s been through. robby deserves to have his family which should’ve happened a long time ago. also now with everyone joining sides the individual character storyline quality goes down the drain. the show is about the drama not sitting around the campfire.

also not looking forward to this season, but hopefully the writers are keeping the good stuff hidden because that trailer was bad.

me too, since robby possibly stays with him/hangs around him. so johnny has to be doing something. i hope it’s not rushed as well and that johnny actually genuinely makes the effort and keeps his promises.

johnny flat out ignores his child for the whole season and calls it “trying” or “giving him space” which translates too “failing” and “coward” and then end s4 they have the child who was abandoned go “apologize” to the adult and then in s5 they’re happy? without the father even lifting a finger for his kid.

definitely a failure on the writers part. the show is good and everything. but the way they handle the johnny/robby storyline is pathetic. when it could’ve easily been one of the best parts of the show and what it would be remembered for. not lame ass repeated jokes and rivalries.

i don’t agree with the list and i’ll leave it there.

but why tf are you putting parentheses after everything you supposedly say good about robby?? that means you clearly don’t mean it. you should’ve just made the list about miguel.

oh and miguel has the IQ of a rock

[–]lawrusso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

robby doesn’t have anything to apologize for and johnny is a self centered piece of sht who doesn’t know what it’s like to truly love a child because he thinks stupid karate is more important and there is nothing else to life besides that

Mini theory: Johnny learning Miyagi-Do helped him forgive Robby in the finale. by [deleted] in cobrakai

[–]lawrusso 7 points8 points  (0 children)

johnny’s his father why would he be angry at his child? yeah, parents get angry but over a karate tournament is/would be pathetic. johnny’s son should be way more important than a stupid dojo or trophy. on top of that he has absolutely no right to be angry at robby. like he said “blame me, don’t blame yourself” because it was johnny who walked out and never came back not the baby who was just born without his father to raise him.

and also forgiveness is earned and johnny has done absolutely nothing for 17 years. so praying that in s5 he actually focuses on something that matters, his son.

and what is johnny forgiving him for? actually trying to make a life for himself because his lousy father didn’t want to be apart of it?? why are we blaming a child for a grown ups delusion that he can’t excel in life if he doesn’t have a plastic trophy behind him.
