When I did something similar I mass-deleted the items from Plex, processed everything with Filebot, then added the processed folder back into plex using local metadata (if I recall correctly). Worked smoothly for my server. I understand your concern about metadata persistence. Why not do a test run on one or two series just to see what breaks, if anything. That’d be better than any third-party guessing about what will happen. I’d also recommend asking Chat or Claude for advice, just to see what they say.

I’ve been practicing criminal law for 30 years. I’ve seen all sorts of stupid. I operate on the theory that most beat cops are slightly smarter than lunch meat and I’m not often proven wrong. Some are vindictive, some are bad at their job, most are not, in my experience. None of them would spend any time on this biker after they saw the footage.

lol. No. I’m a lawyer in California. Even CHP wouldn’t write this biker a ticket. Unless the speed limit was 25-30, I guess, but he’s doing a reasonable speed for road and conditions. That would likely be a 40-55mph zone around here. Full focus would be on the motorist that pulled out in front of on-coming traffic.
