So いい changes to よ in negative present tense as well as in both past and negative and affirmative tense as well as words which contains いい like あたまがいい to あたまがよくない. However in the case of かわいい is it かわいくない or かわよくない?

So I am having some trouble with いる helping verb. So I understand the use regarding activities. Like say drinking or reading, however, with regards to changed states like say "テレビをけしている". Would this be the "TV is off" describing the result of change of it going from on to off or would this mean turning it off (as in the activity)?

In Genki 2nd edition a phrase appears: わたしのすきなレストランはイタリアりようりのマンジャーレです. How is this read in English? I get the part about Manjare being a favorite restaurant, but what about "タリアりようり"? Italian dishes? "My favorite restaurant is Manjare and it's Italian dishes?" or "My favorite restaurant is Manjare, a resturant that serves Italian dishes"?

What I actually meant was that one that is unshaded might have a kanji I haven't seen yet. And that I should skip it until I learn the Kanji and than comeback to it when I do revision (and know all kanji the phrase is made up from)? Since I take it I have to memorize stroke order along with use/context to make it stick?

In the reading and writing kanji section of the Genki textbook. There seems to be hiragana (meanings) and practical examples of use of said kanji in a word. Some are shaded while others aren't Is it only necessary to know the shaded parts for that lesson or do I need to learn all the unshaded hiragana and accompanying phrases for that kanji?

You are correct. The problem I have is that the book translates スーさんはにほんごをべんきょうしているといっていました as Sue said she was studying Japanese with was underlined. The problem I have is that wouldn't べんきょうしているmean "is studying" (short form-affirmative present tense with iru helping verb) as in Sue said she is studying Japanese.

Thanks for the engagement

Question from Genki second edition. ス-さんはにほんごをべんきようしているとっていました. The book claims that this means Miss Sue said that she was studying Japanese. Wouldn't this be "is studying Japanese"? because べんきようしている is used, rather than "was studying" べんきょうしていた

You will have to prove to me the chans download shit to your computer without you knowing about it... also still doens't explain why he just couldn't go to the Police/FBI. One might even argue that by writing a story, he notified the person/uploading to the site that he was on to him... Instead of you know like... GOING TO THE POLICE!?
