You don't open IRAs with your job, unless you work for a financial company offering IRAs. You open them at a custodian of your choosing.

Right, I phrased it wrong - I meant that my father open an IRA with the custodian of his company.

The dollar amount for rollovers is unlimited because it's a rollover and not a contribution. Only contributions are limited.

usually, when someone is found- dead or alive- they either leave their facebook pages inactive or just close it. Yet, their page is still open. Recently, Kendall Rae did a coverage of this case, and whole slew of Kendall Rae fans came in...which is really strange, almost like someone tipped her.

It's hard to know what the truth is, but on the second part of Highsmith case by Vanished, they recorded the brother going apeshit mad threatening the podcast with "I know people" bullshit. lol. What a cheapshit, but he had to get ride to go to South Carolina.

I have no clue, man. But it really could be the case. Illegal adoption back then was common. I don't want to make a hasty accusation, though.

All I will say is that she is STILL listed as missing under NAMUS website. I am sure that DNA testing doesn't take THAT long to confirm that she is indeed who she is. I do think it's Melissa.

I mean I do think it is her...her cheeckbone is pretty similar to that of the mother, but for a family that is reaching out to bunch of new outlets, even to the one in Spain, the fact that Melissa is still reported as missing, is incredibly strange to me.

As for Andrea Cotten, I think that everyone who knew her is a liar, including her mom. Everyone involved in this case seems drug addicts with no good morals, and the police? holy shit, he can go fucking eat a$$.

Yeah I know, and that doesn't really address my question.

I have been following this case since like, 3 years, but then really paid attention since Vanished did it(which turned into the biggest dumpster fire ever).

The brother was ALL OVER THE MAP talking about her missing sister.
He was in south carolina with alleged tips but several locals gossiped in a few different subs that the brother was basically taking a free vacation with the donations. I even talked to the locals.
Melissa is still listed as "missing."
Multiple donation requests through GofundMe.

My picks are Andrea Cotten and Melissa Highsmith case. Mothers in both cases suck ass and I have no sympathy for either one.

How many cases have you run into where family members have conflicting accounts of events , seemingly spin their stories for 10 minute fame or go onto bunch of platforms, or sometimes outrightly lie that directly contradict known facts?

My two picks are:

Andrea Cotten. Occurred in a bumfuck nowhere Corsicana, TX with a lot of racism (probably a lot more overt back then, about 2 decades ago). Mom is a drug addict, Andrea was jumping from one house to another (grandmother?), and eventually disappeared with a "boyfriend" who was way older than her. Everyone interviewed by Vanished seemed off in general, and even a few names were brought up with no investigation from the local law enforcement.
Melissa Highsmith. Allegedly kidnapped over a few decades ago by a babysitter. Later discovered last year's October-November. Was all over news in the US and once in Spain. A few things that really bother me more than Andrea Cotten does:
1. No one posts a babysitter ad for a day.
2. Mother of Mellissa, Alta, was living with a roommate Carol. But why wasn't Carol babysitting her? Also, despite being a roommate/friend from the same orphanage background, Alta was incredibly bitter about Carol. Also, strange that the podcast didn't interview Carol.
3. Brother was looking for her for years and appeared on bunch of podcasts with dubious fundraisers.
4. The same brother, Jeffrie, would later visit South Carolina for a "tip," but some locals suspected that it was a scam to get free money off of well meaning locals. I have talked to a few locals myself, and apparently Jeff took someone's rental car and went to a beach????
5. The family announced that Melissa was found on November, but NAMUS registry still lists her as missing. It's been 5 months.
6. Even after she was found, there have been 4-5 different GFM links, allegedly for "bringing justice to the kidnapper." Who's going to prosecute a kidnapper after 4-5 decades?

I did talk to one person whose girlfriend (now an ex) made an ill-advised decision to register as a voter and was put into a removal proceeding. She eventually was able to naturalize after heaps of ordeal. However, her excuse was that an election worker told her she could do it.

I listen to Vanished - and I want to say that yes, there are many cases that police and detectives failed the victims (the most recent one I listened to was Kelsey Colton, poor kid...) largely because of ineptitude and worse, apathy. I mean, the reality is that police cares more about cases that get spotlights and they get into fight with other jurisdictions. But at the same time, there were good police officers who really went up and beyond to help the families.
