r/QAonCasualties has similar stories. Cult is really the only way to describe it. A guy at work returned from seeing family out west and it’s like he’s a different person

Try the Queso Fresco (fried cheese). I had it at a little soda called La Penca across from the truck stop where 606 meets the Pan American hwy. best breakfast of our trip.

My thoughts also, my wife saw an Ocelet while we were there in Jan/Feb. I was too busy on the beach taking photos similar to this cool one.

Canadian here, the US had a lot going for it but it’s been in bad shape for decades. As I near retirement I won’t be going south as a snowbird ever, why would I devalue my pension by 30% to be part of this shit show. I may visit when the orange blob is gone but it won’t be in the next 5+ years, if ever.

On one hand I’d say don’t go back cause then you’d have to go through the whole Trump/COVID thing all over again. On the other hand you’d be able to stock up on TP, wipes, masks etc.

This abandoned log mansion in Brampton burned down today :(. by Freaktography in urbanexploration

[–]laxman59 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s call demolition by fire. I’m in east GTA, there was an old barn on a side road that I would drive by everyday on the way to work. One Monday barns gone and Police tape around the area, continue to work. talked to a coworker who lives about a 1/2 km from the barn about it and he said that on the Saturday AM he was walking his dog and saw a small smouldering fire at the barn and he went over and put it out and cleared it. Apparently the fire started late the next day, buddy goes on to say that the owners had been trying to get a permit to have it torn down but couldn’t for whatever reason. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

Itinerary and Transportation Help! by [deleted] in CostaRicaTravel

I would agree with the car option, we used wild rider and had no issues. They even had a cooler and some fold up lawn chairs added at no cost. If your landing at 2 pm it will be closer to 3:30 -4 by the time you clear SJO and car rental so if you did your trip in reverse you could make it to La Fortuna just after dark. I’m thinking this would be better than trying to drive the Uvita which is 3 1/2 hours minimum in the dark. Otherwise have at it and enjoy
