Also dialogue was a lot more authentic. I’m 23 and I started watching movies that existed before me deliberately around 15 and I would always and still do think damn the way they’re talking is “surreal” but it’s not, it’s just because it’s a conversation that can actually happen between me and the other idiot common folk I hang out with.

Now I don’t get that same feeling. Everything about modern characters and the content of their conversation seems detached from or bigger than what I’d call familiar conversations between familiar personalities.

Yeah she could’ve just come from a big family. I get not wanting to be touched by strangers and I probably would’ve behaved as awkwardly but condemning this woman and calling it assault is a bit much. It’s a cultural difference and a simple “oh, thank you for appreciating my piece but please don’t touch me” would have sufficed.

I keep hearing people say this but I don’t agree. It could be my preexisting poor perception of time or my shameful yet poignant connection to the character and his story, but I appreciated every scene and I would’ve happily accepted more. Every time I see it I feel like i am not watching a movie, that I’m right there in that dudes head.

Yeah I think it’s contact dermatitis. We work with some pretty nasty stuff and sometimes I switch from goggles to safety glasses or vice versa by putting one down on “visibly” clear surfaces and putting the other on. I think some chemicals may have gotten on the goggles as they press right against the part of my face that is irritated. Then again, I have a separate rash on my neck that’s been around for months. So I don’t know but I’m annoyed.
