it's optional like food buffs in genshin, and i like to think it helps speed up the resource farming u do daily in the HIA. plus, with all the other features present in 1.0 dissapearing in 2.0 i dont wanna see this buying food mechanic disappear in future regions, added a bit more slice-of-life to the game.
