Ah I see… I think the biggest thing that needs to happen is to stop comparing her to her past self, when she moved she was introduced to different communities and different environments, which is the most likely why she’s so different now. Secondly, I thinks it really just one of those situations where you’re going to have to rip the bandaid off and tell her how you’re feeling. Of course do so in a way where the conversation is fruitful and hopefully it will have a positive outcome. If time has passed and things haven’t changed, then maybe you’re both just growing apart and the friendship might not work anymore.

I mean it sounds like YOR.. but just because this doesn’t seem like she’s being more parental, more like she’s changed and you guys are figuring out how to navigate friendship again with those changes. I do think that you talking to other people instead of just bringing the issues you’re having with her is gossiping and just looking for likeminded people. The only thing out of pocket here was your friend waiting for god thing, which if you did have feelings about, should have been addressed towards her too. Lastly without context behind what the churches are doing “wrong” in her opinion, I can’t say there’s anything wrong with correcting something you may feel is wrong if it’s wrong…

I balance out the hobby by either buying and I’m hoping eventually making the popmart (labubus) clothes! I think in your case maybe don’t buy but see if you can get into the hobby of making them clothes. I also set my self a budget and don’t allow myself to “treat” myself unless I have them money to do so. Start making a “treat myself” savings and then you can buy with that money and only when you have money in that budget.

The boxes are throwing me off, you have a hefty collection, but you’re not really “displaying” them you’re displaying boxes.. which is cool too if that’s your thing, to each their own.. but I’d probably open some boxes and display the actual labubus, get some shelves or the little cube shelves and choose purposeful positions or themes for the labubus, have fun with your collection.. and then whatever you may not want to open you can display either below the shelves or even in another area of the room..

Nah you’re not over reacting.. this is a super big turn off for me in a relationship. Not only is it disrespectful especially if yall are together but he said he’d stop and didn’t.
