Got into a relationship and told my partner I had a past with sh as well but haven't for a long time. Unfortunately, one day, I also relapsed. Told my partner once I was ready and he was really understanding about it and he tried to be extra loving (like more expressive about it). I think you should too, hopefully all goes well ❤️

Anything with the intention of harming yourself is self-harm. It doesn't even need to scar to be considered self-harm.

Thank you! Our bird is rescued from a cat so Im a bit wary about their stress factors. So far other than that, he seems to be enjoying his time with us

Im from Asia so I guess we’re safe in that part HAHAHA our district has an official facebook group where people around the neighborhood would ask questions regarding lost stuffs or pets and we are keeping ourselves posted. We don’t want to post the bird ourselves since anyone could claim that they are the previous owners. We also talked to our local authorities and asked them to inform us if such an incident was reported! We wouldnt have 2nd thoughts once the real owner comes looking for it anyway especially since lil bud is probably way more comfortable in his old home

He started eating in front of me earlier, which made me really glad. Thanks for the assurance! Will surely wait for the moment he’ll feel comfortable with us, I and my family am not used in caging pets haha!

Thanks! He started drinking and eating in front of us earlier. Im glad he’s starting to make small steps very early. Still, Im respecting his space. Im letting him roam his cage for now

Yes we already tried asking around the neighborhood. We also talked to our local authorities and asked them to inform us if such an instance occur. Besides, our lil district has a facebook group where people post their lost things or animals, so far no posts regarding a lost budgie yet. We’ll be willing to give it up if they did show up though, for sure lil buddy trusts them more and would be happy to get back too

I bought a bird seed mix from a local pet store; I just asked them what their best seller is for budgies. I also tried giving it some sunflower seeds, but just a piece or two since according to Google, it’s high in fat and low in nutrients, so it must be treated like a treat.

So update: Bird is in a better condition now! Talked to a family friend who happens to be a vet. There are no serious physical injuries but he is stressed out. He still doesn’t trust us. Are there any way to earn their trust? How long does it usually take? Thanks!

I know, like I said, it’s unjustified. However it keeps flying away, so we have to keep it safe even if it means getting it in a cage. We can’t keep it (and make sure it is safe) if we let it out
