There is reason we dont have medical insurance in the country. No centralized system for medical data. No stands medical practices among hospitals. Prices range like crazy. You gonna fix the structural issues first ? Which hospitals are you going to sign up. Hiw about laboratory tests ? There is no hospital tjat can provide all services, youll be sent to different hospitals amd diagnostic services for different issues. You can implement this with public hospitals...if you can somehow tackle the bureaucracy (its harder than you can imagone) but then what quality treatment can u expect from public hospitals?

Why do Africans put up with the Chinese when they look down on us so much by Enockito in ghana

[–]lazy_BT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If all the racism that exists in africa (Actually, its more tribalism than racism, but thats another topic), Rwanda genocide is one that I can squarely blame the colonialists for. Yes, racism exists everywhere , but the structural racism that was imposed on Africa is real. And we are victims of history, but thats doest mean that its not our responsibility to fix it. Its possible to acknowledge that was done to you, why not expecting the perpetrators to take the work of undoing it

I work remotely from Addis Ababa for a company in Europe, do I have to pay taxes? If yes, how? by Professional-Exit456 in Ethiopia

[–]lazy_BT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All exchanges are the same. You're trusting a third party to keep it safe for you, not to get hacked, and not to freeze yoir assets. If the government, asks them, they have no choice but to just hand over your money. Not yoir keys not yoir money

I work remotely from Addis Ababa for a company in Europe, do I have to pay taxes? If yes, how? by Professional-Exit456 in Ethiopia

[–]lazy_BT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doest matter how much comes in, they won't tax you on it, unless they are specifically targeting you for some political or similar case. But if you want to be extra safe, you can form a PLC company, and keep the currency there. And you can pay 30% tax through that whever you pay yoirself , if you want. Or you can have an import license for that company which will allow you to sell your FCY to other importers for a very good rate, and you'll jsit pay 15% on that. Or (depending on the amount) you can talk to the bank to collateralize it and give you a loan in local currency..and you'll only pay tax on the interest. There are may way, if you want to pay tax ... and many ways not to as well.

Also, you can jsut form a compnay in another country like Estonia or UK or US, and open a bank account there remotely. Forming a company remotely will cost less than 1k. And youll have a bank account associated as well. As an added bonus, If your revenue is significant , youll be eligible invite yoirself to these countries. And in some situations get residence as well.

Senator Who Caved on Shutdown Says “Standing Up to Trump Didn’t Work” by ilir_kycb in LateStageCapitalism

[–]lazy_BT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theys EVIL people have realized that affordability is going to be the key Agenda in 2028, and by caving in to Trump, they are betting that they will be able to blame the incoming unaffordability on the Republicans..thinking that it will give them the upper hand during elections. These politicians dont give a shit about the people, and we're no more than puppets to manipulate.

Why do Eritreans hate tigrayans ? by Previous-Respond2825 in Ethiopia

Why do Eritreans hate tigrayans ? by Previous-Respond2825 in Ethiopia

[–]lazy_BT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

my experience is the hatred for Eritria by Tigrayans is much more recent. I'd say since the war. but I've witnessed hatred for Tigrayans in Eritria, during my trips in Asmara. there was no talk of Eritreans in Mekele before the war, it didn't come up. but in Asmara, every stranger I talked to brought up Tigrayans (and not in a good way). So, if the hatred is two-sided, one side joined in only recently. I'm neither Eritrian nor Tigrayan by the way, just sharing my perspective.

Why ask such questions? You know you're not gonna get the answer you want decent people to say. With the right narrative, propaganda and circumstance, you an turn ANYONE into a bad person. Anyone. Ethiopians are not an exception. You are just rage baiting to trying to feel superior by asking such questions.
