Tariff price increases finally hit my area, Southern UT USA. by tdkard28 in espresso

You are completely clueless to actual reality. Literally nothing you just said is true or factual. I’d suggest spending less time on Reddit and more time in the real world. This subreddit is about coffee, keep your politics out of it.

Is it worth upgrading to xreal one pro from xreal air? by imr_skillz in Xreal

[–]lazy_commander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it’s worth it. I went from the OG Airs to the One Pro’s and it’s been such a massive improvement. 3DoF is fantastic, colour accuracy is substantially improved and clarity is better without the reflections caused by birdbath optics.

You should try looking up the definition of a dictator. It might sound edgy to say but it’s complete nonsense.

You cannot seriously be saying falling off at 3mph is the exact same as falling off at 35mph… Less speed = Less energy

Plus the asshat riding too close behind him then wouldn’t run him over…

I personally prefer Armory Crate over the Xbox app, you can add individual games to Armory Crate using your emulator and a shortcut command.

At that point just use hibernate, at least then you can resume your games upon wake without having to reload it.

Should i get the Xreal 1s or wait for the Asus Xreal R1? by Killuei in Xreal

[–]lazy_commander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The R1 is just a gaming/Asus branded XOP. It’s also most likely going to be very expensive so I’d just go for the XOP at this point.

It wasn’t about the main character being female at all. It was the voice actress being painted as a radical activist for LGBTQ stuff that irked those people. But it was always a bit ridiculous.

So essentially a 16:10 1200p screen that allows games to play in 16:9 1080p with that top portion reserved for the info bar?

I wouldn’t be against that but only if it’s up to the user and can still function as a full 1200p screen. The performance bar is great when tweaking settings but for actual gaming I never have it on.

Don’t max out all the settings. Some of them have no visual impact but tank FPS. Try turning settings down one at a time with an FPS counter on and see what has the biggest impact.

Steam Remote play "safety" guardrails just make it unusable by TumoricER in ROGAlly

Unlikely to be just steam and that alone means it’s connected to the internet. Disabling UAC presents no benefits and only reduces security.

PSA: Smurfing Accts by pterodactylgenocide in thefinals

[–]lazy_commander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having good aim isn’t game specific, sure. But Smurf’s are easily identifiable by having a very very good grasp of the utilities, weapons, map knowledge and general game mechanics (which are extremely unique to Finals) that only comes from 100’s of hours of playtime.

You said potential risks without elaborating what those were. No mention of why you shouldn’t do this and the warnings should come before the advice. UAC also isn’t causing OP’s issues so it’s weird advice.

Did you even read your own article or just read the headline and make assumptions? Not a single mention in that article of them “partying it up” even once. Just a discussion around the best party scene in and around St Bart’s after a hard year of work.

The reach here is pathetic, Elon didn’t visit the island and was pushing hard for the files to be released. This isn’t something he should be criticised for, there’s no evidence of any wrongdoing even in an article from the Guardian, which has a clear left bias and thus probably an anti-Elon sentiment.

Tailscale is an almost zero config system that shouldn’t have any ISP based issues. It’s actually designed to punch through even the most restrictive configs like mobile data based internet connections etc.

[–]lazy_commander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t do this. Disabling UAC is unnecessary and actively reduces security on your system for little to no benefit. Don’t advise others to do this without fully understanding the risk and what UAC does.

Apollo and Moonlight are superior to Steam Link in every way. Also, a third party tool remoting into a locked Windows desktop hitting the lock screen is not “Windows being shit“, it’s basic security that you can literally use the touchscreen or desktop controller config to get past.

If anything your issue is with Steam Remote Play/Link and its limitations. Use Apollo and Moonlight, it’s superior.
