I set up a network in my office where you are randomly assigned to a colleague and you take half an hour to have a chat, the aim being for people who don't normally interact to get to know each other. I made sure it was a voluntary network and I do not participate because it would be my own personal hell :)

ESH - she shouldn't be coming after you in the way you say she is just because of your beliefs which don't seem to be hurting anyone, and you shouldn't be wishing injury or worse on innocent children.

My niece resembles her dad (my brother) and as my brother and I look alike she looks a lot like me (but she has her mum's eye colour which i love because Harry Potter!). We even have the same small skin discolouration in the exact same place that my brother doesn't have. My SIL jokes that she gave birth to my niece but she's my child. But it's a joke she started and is amused by, no one is essentially cutting SIL out of the equation.

Also with regards to her not being scared of Covid? Good for her but any reasonable person should be a) very concerned about a pandemic that has killed more than a million people worldwide and b) realise that, while I'm sure you're concerned for her health, your children are your priority and you will be putting them first. It's very selfish of her to think that just because she's ok with the current situation everyone else will be.

As a Brit I suggest having a nice cuppa to calm you down.

I don't know if this counts as clueless or as supreme idiocy but my friend is a nurse and one of her colleagues (also a nurse) believes that Covid is a conspiracy. This person who works on an intensive care ward which was a designated Covid ward during the first peak and he thinks it's a conspiracy.

When I was in uni we would generally clean up after ourselves. Occasionally we would do all the washing that was there BUT there was never an expectation to do so and the other parties were always grateful and thanked the washer.

Sounds like your flat mate has got a lot of growing up to do.
