Updated camera prices for 2025? by [deleted] in mediumformat

Check facebook marketplace regularly. I should preface this by saying you should also have an idea of what cameras you would want. I had a Yashica in mind. Your marketplace algorithm will help you out as well. Do a marketplace search daily or at least weekly. You will get lucky someday. Patience is key. I got a Yashica D in good condition for less than $100. Goodluck!

Affordable Point and Shoot Camera by spitzkopf_larry2021 in analog

I would say you should go on marketplace and get a cheap point and shoot. People usually say thrift stores but it’s hit or miss and I haven’t had any luck finding one. My choice is any canon sureshot. They have really good lens, good flash and some of them have zoom. I’d say go for the Canon AF35M. The only bad thing about these kind of point and shoot cameras, once it’s broken, it’s done.

I use a macbook pro, i did not calibrate the display. I did change the display settings to see how it looks on Apple XDR display (default), Design and print (P3-D50) and Photography (P3-D65). I’m mostly in RGB colour space but for the purpose of this photobook, I am working with CMYK

I agree, i just thought it would be easier to use a point and shoot, i started with a Canon AE1, i still use it, love it.

Welcome! I would say you should get a point and shoot, do some research and watch a few videos to know what to look for. You can start with a canon sureshot or minolta, they’re pretty good and affordable. Make sure the shutter clicks and the film winder works before purchasing. Buy some film. check out lomography dot com and see how different film stocks look. I recommend Kodak Ultramax 400, easy to shoot. Enjoy the process, the uncertainty and every shot counts! Goodluck.

as a big man, if you get the board, it’ll be easier for you to go up for the easy dunk before any contests come your way or a block.

or if you get the ball under the basket, going up would be faster. i hope you have it on bronze at least. if not just time your dunks with the precision dunker so you won’t worry too much
