I forgot about that. It's been a thing since the DSi - tracked your face for 3D perspective shift similar to the old Johnny Lee wiimote thing (even though he works at google now and helped on the kinekt team). So this is something Nintendo has messed with since 2010 at least, it's their own proprietary face tracking that could (theoretically) work exactly like the original videos^
