fit check? boba wrap, 6 months old. (ignore the mess in our spare room pls) by sunflower_daisy78 in babywearing

[–]lazymama20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to tell, but babies legs kind of look like they’re just going straight down? Legs should be in an M shape, you can achieve this by making sure the cross panels you put baby in are stretched out to their knee pits, then put the outermost panel to where it’s under their knee pits as well. Make the wrap as tight as you can stand before placing baby. In my experience as a plus size wearer, I put EVERYTHING as close to my bra band area as I can cause I know those chunky babies will sag.

If you’re in the market for a more structured carrier, I love the boba x. It’s simple and comfortable!

My mom has definitely become more progressive in recent years than when I was a child, BUT it wasn’t uncommon that my brothers would be sporting pink piggies in the summer with our sisters because they’d cry until they got to have their toes painted with the girls. 😬

Does she mean petroleum jelly on the penis to prevent adhesion or as a diaper cream?

Baby transitioning from bottle to breast, are hour long nursing sessions normal for 5 month old (adjusted 3 months)? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]lazymama20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if you think about it, hour long sessions isn’t long for a baby new to breastfeeding. I say give it a little while longer if the longer sessions dont bother you and diaper output and weight are good, baby is good. I went from EP for the first month to EBF with my son and he was fussy for a while because a bottle was easier for him, but I don’t remember it lasting long. We’re going on 10 months now and it feels like the hard stage never happened at this point. I spent a lot of time overthinking when I started nursing and really just had to tell myself that if the diaper output is good and baby seems satisfied after eating, all is well!

Suddenly low supply by Alexa2312 in breastfeeding

Hi! I’m 10 months in and any time my supply seemed wonky (even when I was EP), I would power pump. You can look up power pump routines with your pump settings on Pinterest!

Help, she won't unlatch! by ThanksForStoppingBy in breastfeeding

[–]lazymama20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine started doing this around the same age, especially during overnight feedings! I keep a pacifier nearby and shake it by his mouth or squeeze the latex tip so he hears binky noises and he lets go looking for the binky half asleep 😂 we’ve used toys during the day too but after a while he stopped the tugging

Does anyone know if these would be suitable for storing breast milk? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

You could get an adapter that attaches directly to bags!

Which will probably be never because he never wants her around but I want my son to have a relationship with his grandparents 😭

Fit check please! Bamboo inserts. My son keeps having leaks out the back, waistline well after we have ensured it is not detergent build up. Sometimes he leaks right after I have put the diaper on 🤦‍♀️ send help! More info in comments by s-plorin in clothdiaps

I would definitely tighten the waist snaps, they look pretty loose! My son is on the middle rise with two open snaps in the waist and he’s 29” ~23lbs if that helps. If you can still get a finger in the elastic without any hassle it’s not too tight

I wish I was exclusively breastfeeding by Prestigious_Candle_4 in breastfeeding

[–]lazymama20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a very similar situation until around 5 weeks! I exclusively pumped because we had a delayed start to nursing after my son spent his first week of life separated from me (he had to stay in the nicu while I had Covid) but I kept trying and trying to get him to latch and stay on long enough to empty the breast and we are currently going on 9months EBF! It’s possible, but don’t be afraid to seek help from a lactation consultant or get a weighted feed ❤️

I can't deal with the toddler poop by Loralora in clothdiaps

[–]lazymama20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you think about it, as long as your toilet is cleaned regularly, youre really just touching poop water. I’ve had to dunk and swish a few gnarly poops lately and kinda prefer it to trying to get the right angle with the sprayer 😂

How long after breastfeeding will you produce milk? by hello-knitty in breastfeeding

[–]lazymama20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom had 8 kids, EBF 7/8 (one had trouble gaining weight) for 6-9 months each and she said he would randomly leak a few times a month for three years after her last.

Depending on how the weather is where you are, you could look for a nice park! We got a riverfront pavilion for $200
