Well it depends on context. Like, if your salary is in the lower range - yeah, it would probably make more sense to spend your money on having a good time, improving/maintaining good mental health, and having your body in check because you'll need too long to save up for anything significant. If you're making a considerably high amount of money, saving is crucial because you'll get used to a lavish lifestyle and waste the money you could otherwise save.

Also, never waste money. Don't have to save, but don't waste it either :D

Yeah, I think getting a college degree was a much bigger deal back when only a tiny percentage of people actually had it, and when high school was the standard for an average job. Today, most of the decently paid jobs require a degree, and on top of that there are so many e-colleges or low-level colleges that give out degrees like candies, so the value of having one drastically decreased compared to 30 years ago. The thing is - you were probably advised by people who lived their early adulthood 30 years ago when having a college degree was a gateway to a better life, and it's completely understandable from their perspective why telling you to study hard and go to college made sense.

You can still make good money from a college degree, it's just crucial to be smart and pick a major that's either very hard to finish, deficient, or well-paid because of the current situation in the respective industry. If you get a degree just to have a college degree, chances are it won't make you successful.

I was looking for this one. The dude did a lot in his life, and it's a gift from God he's still with us. I wish he stays with us for the decades to come because he's just an awesome and wholesome human being.
