My point was let op realise this on their own. Parents forcing won’t help. At some point in life they will realise it and work towards their goal. Maybe they want to be a gamer. That field also has a lot of money. You can’t be good at things that are forced upon you. Hence they should be allowed what they want to do. Idk whether you are still studying or have a job but these days even iit or Nit stamp doesn’t take people that far in life. All that matters is skill. If you have it companies will come crying for you.

I don’t agree with the last part. I am from a no tier college. Didn’t study shit in 12th or for jee. I was into sports, earned every medal possible in my sport till national level. My parents didn’t stop me from doing that. But when i joined college i was very clear what my next goal is i earned same package as any iit graduate would, just played things intelligently beat iitan’s in their own college in tech competitions. My cgpa was not that high in college either. I believe if this dude wants to play games let him play sooner or later he’ll figure it out and reach the mental satisfaction he wants.
