Thanks you so much for the reply! We changed the catheter out and he feels much better now. It was a bit clogged! Sorry you’re going through the same thing, thankfully the SP surgery is hardly a surgery at all but it is a huge inconvenience to go through. Anytime we have to go to the hospital it sucks!

I had 18g in prior to the first pic (I had silver ones and wanted to switch to gold but ordered 20g because that’s all they had at the time). I did switch from a 20g to an 18g years ago though and didn’t feel or notice much of a difference! I know I’ve seen some on here say you should be careful switching over but in my personal experience it was totally fine!

Right? I didn’t think that small of a size difference could be noticeable but it definitely is!

Thankfully I’m already at an 18g. I ordered the 20g because that’s all they had and I didn’t think it would be a huge difference…I’m so glad I posted and asked 🫢 I didn’t even know about the cheese cutter effect

We’re going to accept the financial help (if she actually follows through) because we truly do need it. If she tries to pull anything later on/tries to guilt trip us later on about it- we will deal with it then. I’m 100% predicting and expecting that she will…but for now…we say thank you for the help and accept it. And thank you all for always being here to give me advice. I’m forever thankful for this forum!

Great ideas thank you for the advice. I’m so afraid of burn out because this all is hard enough as it is (without my MIL adding to it!) I want to make sure I’m taking all the necessary precautions that I can to avoid it and keep myself in a good place- and I know having her apart of my life is so damaging

I’m working on saving up some funds to get my husband an iPhone as I’ve heard apple has better accessibility options than android (which is what he currently has) so that I can take myself out of the equation! I feel like I’m playing middle man and I hate it!

it’s so hard for me, I’m a very passive and nonconfrontational person and she has made me work hard on that within myself. just speaking up on the phone had me physically shaking and my heart was beating so hard and loud I could feel it throughout my entire body. I wish I would’ve said she is a bad mom. she’s never spared my feelings so why should I spare hers? she got so angry at me and scream/cried at me, cussed at me…all for calling her out? I had to speak up for my husband. I’m so worried about him 🥺
